I like pink, but it doesn't work as well as I thought. Since the white eraser does not leave the paper pink, it does a better job erasing than the pink eraser, which can sometimes leave the paper pink after erasing. As for paper ripping, I've found that the pink eraser rips the paper far more often than the white one. My white erasers have been in my possession for over a year now and are still as soft as they were when they were brand new. That is, at the very least, not smudged. However, these erasers leave plenty of shavings and require more rubbing than what I would expect of something better made. It was expensive, but if I want the same results for less money, I should have purchased a different option. I purchased these because I remembered how nice the "Black Pearl" premium erasers from Paper Mate felt, but I couldn't find them any more so I tried these.
