Questions & Answers

This is labeled as 'M1', as far as I can tell. What size/type of refill leads do you have?

162c is the number on my lead package.

What is the difficulty in removing it from hard plastic?

I have no idea. I tried the WD40, and it works reasonably well, but not perfectly. I'm going to contact the company to see if they can help.

This is a great marker! I bought the black marker to use on canning jar lids to date and identify them
5/5

It becomes one of the best highlighters I've ever used with the addition of yellow refills. The only part of the pen that I didn't like was the sticker. This was not only unnecessary, but also inconvenient, given that the bag it came in was labeled. Alcohol, on the other hand, will dissolve the sticky residue. Unscrew the tip to refill it; A 72-lead refill pack should keep you going for a long time.

There is no such thing as a Scripto
3/5

The pen is adequate, but it is bulkier and less attractive than the old Scripto pencil. The Listo came with a sticker that was stuck to the entire pencil and was nearly impossible to remove. The organization reacted - Simply use it as directed on the label! Listo products are not something I would recommend.

Listo: Above all else, it's the grease pen
5/5

Home Hardware Solutions, the vendor, receives a 5-star rating as well. For their quick service and free shipping, they get five stars. For a total of $4, this was a great deal. In less than three minutes, I had the pen in my hands. days. br>br>* I noticed that some of the reviewers gave negative ratings because they didn't know how to use the pen, thought it was too expensive, or had a difficult-to-remove label. For my first comment, I'd like to offer you the following assistance: Why spend money on a pen you don't understand how to use when all you need to do is grasp it? twist the top 'knurled' knob, or was the purpose of the top 'knurled' knob to keep you from hurting yourself? My second point of assistance is as follows: Read my first paragraph or simply type "grease marking pen" into Amazon's search box to find the best price, or don't buy it at all. My third and final point of assistance is as follows: I agree that removing a label is more difficult than removing a loud grandiloquent drunk relative, but there isn't enough difficulty level or time and energy spent whining about removing a label, and then giving the product a poor review because of removing the label, or let's say someone claims they paid too much, and then giving a poor review because they paid too much, but if they were forced to buy it at a higher price, please accept my apology on behalf of that br>* This is a method I use, and it took me about a minute to get the label off: Peel as much as you can with a slow pull and you will remove approximately 50%, then spray saturate the remaining slag with WD- Wait about 15 minutes, then rub off quickly with your fingernail or a popsicle stick and rags, being careful not to mar the surface. br>* I've also used paint thinner or naphtha instead of WD-40 when removing tough labels because it's faster. Be aware that anything stronger will etch or melt the plastic. Chemicals such as M should not be used. K, Xylene, or Acetone are all examples of solvents. WD- The number 40 is the safest option, but it is a little slower. BTW: To remove the label and catch the chemical, use newspaper, a tray, and paper towels or rags. Cleanup is also a breeze with them. If necessary, complete the task outside. There are two things that happen when you spend time outside: This label chore is quicker and easier to remove than explaining it here, and it also keeps you in the bedroom and out of divorce court. br>br>* I endorse the vendor as well as this Listo grease pen. We use them for a variety of tasks, but the majority of the time for pantry items: For example, on caned food lids, you can put the date or labeling. They're also great for labeling parts in the garage, as well as garden projects like naming tomato varieties on stakes or even names on Vampire stakes. 'Love-In' and 'Love-Out' are examples of names that are Life, a few woodworking projects, and the lab, to name a few. The list goes on and on. br>* I've also discovered that the Listo pen is a better marker than sharpened equivalents, as well as types with the pull string and wrapper removed to expose the grease, though the greases aren't as effective as Listo's. br>* Listo is also superior to the Sharpie Marker style pen because the Sharpie Marker's tip quickly dries out if the cap is left off for too long, and most people know that Sharpie is the king of Magic Markers for their intended purposes. WD-* WD-* WD-* WD-* WD-* WD-* WD- Listo has an infinite number of applications. Simply put, grease pens should not be used on items that become extremely hot. Keep them out of the reach of children and some adults because they write beautifully on your walls and contrast beautifully with your rugs when the hard grease refills are stepped on. Grease marker smudges are also more difficult to remove than crayon smudges or even other type marks on some surfaces. This is due to the possibility of the need for harsher chemicals. When used on smooth surfaces like glass or metal, however, the grease simply wipes away with a paper towel. br>br>* Who'd have guessed we couldn't live without Listo grease pens?.

It was exactly what I was looking for
5/5

Quick turnaround. I initially mistook the marker for an empty one when I received it. I kept pressing down on the end cap, as if it were an ink pen, hoping it would pop off. When I called the seller, she was very pleasant and explained that the end cap needed to be turned rather than pushed. I'm very pleased with the marker and the customer service I received.

This product did not appeal to me
3/5

at all. I didn't like this product at all; once I figured out that I needed to twist the marker out, twisting it back up shaved off little bits of the crayon each time; the entire piece is only about 5 inches. Sharpie China markers are what I'll use.

It writes well on everything I've tried and doesn't smell like a marker! There's nothing else I can say.
