The repairs to the outside spine and corner are covered by this item. The paper is so thick that in most cases, repairing the inside of the pages is impossible, unless the book is very heavy and very large. Using tape on the inside of a book should be thin and acid-free in order to prevent causing any damage to the spine. I have a few concerns. What is it? Is it an archive? On the box, there is little information about the properties. If it's marketed to books, I imagine it is, but there isn't any description It will be my greatest hope that it does not discolor over time, or peel or crack. Is it just because of the thickness and widths available that this is considered 'book tape'? Despite the fact that there is information on how to use it on books, there are no specific details on this that are on the box. Please see

It is a very strong and great self adhesive tape that I use when I repair books. I have learned over the years to do good repairs on my own books by using good tapes, glues, and tools since many of my books are very old or collectible. If I sent them to repair services, that would be great but expensive, and I cannot justify that expense. My use of this item is one of those items.

In SCOTCH's usual, Hurray our profits but no lift tabs on the tape, it has not even put its usual "horray with the customer" at the beginning. Clear tape is mostly what is being used here. There is other book tape that you can line up with the place on the book before using it because it has an easy peel application. Like the rest of their tape products, this is literally the same.

Book tape has been used before and I have a few old books that needed a bit of correction. As clear as clear packing tape, this tape is a little clearer than that. Although it claims to be a little thinner, I find it to be the same. Since I don't have a roller/cutter, I can't cut anything.
