Thankfully, books can now be repaired without hassle because of this tape! I like how easy it is to use and how strong the adhesive is.
Our dining room features an antique dining set that was passed down from my grandparents which includes cushioned table covers that fold up when not in use when it is in Despite meticulous care, these pads were beginning to rub away at the folds and Seeing how they are made from cloth materials, we decided to try bookbinding tape, and it worked beautifully! We ordered more so that we could keep more on hand should the need arise.
This tape was used to install and restore a new spine for an old children's book that had completely lost its spine. I followed online instructions and used this tape to repair the worn edges of the cover and install the new spine. It's hard to judge how long the book will last, but it appears to be fairly sturdy at the moment.
To modify leather couch cushions sewn together with this tape, I actually used it. Separating the cushions would leave an exposed part between each one, so I knew there would be an area in between. I taped the open area up with this tape, as the area did not show when the cushions were placed back side by side. Instead of reupholstering them, I simply taped the open area up. I am very happy with how it has worked and is holding up That's the end of the problem.
I had no problems working with him. The books had old spines that had seen better days, but they were well loved by all. We are happy to report that we have begun using those books again, and we look forward to their continued use for years to come.
I have tried many others before, but this is by far the best.
For genealogy use, I used this tape with Lineco Linen Hinging Tape to put the covers back on a couple of antique history books.
