Includes but does not include. I thought this was a well made product but it wasn't what I expected, so I gave it away (and they There wasn't enough clarity in the product for me to give it a star. (Anyone who does book binding might disagree with this statement). It would seem that "tape" would be the most appropriate word I assume glue will be needed (I guess you have to buy it). In a word, "clear" In this case, there are no clear answers. (This is understandable being that a fabric does not shed dirt. It may blend somewhat into the paper pages (which is why "Clear" was used in the description), but why "Clear" in the description?.
This is something I bought for practice on my own after getting into bookbinding for a college class. I am very pleased You will find that linen tape is easy to work with once you've figured out how to do it. The only thing I wish was that it wasn't quite so expensive, but I'll take it because it's what I've been looking for. Since I began using the linen tapes, I have made little journals and sketchbooks for my friends, and they really like them. And I wouldn't have been able to do it without them.
As I made my grand daughter's scrapbook, I used this product to reinforce the binding. This defect almost disappears when the pages are burnished, and does not interfere with their functioning. This product is highly recommended and I am certain that I will use it again in the near.

Putting plastic tape in books is not a good idea. A cracked or discolored surface will eventually result. You can use this cloth tape to repair the binding and rear edge of a book you love but it has been damaged. To use this glue, you will need a flexible, nonacidic glue for binding books.
