The magent sides will stick together, but after gluing the first one to the frame (or door), rotate the other one clockwise until they attract each other, then close the door and it will work.
These are insufficient to hold knives against the kitchen wall. These are the ones I use for heavier items: 100 Ceramic Magnets by bet MAGNET TM - It's only 18 mm (. Round Disc (709 in.) If you glued one side to the table, you could probably get away with it. It is only covered in adhesive. It's not particularly powerful.
Stainless steel does not attract magnets.

This product was purchased to solve a problem with a kitchen drawer that refused to close. I attempted to fix the problem by adjusting the side tracks, but this did not work. I used one square magnet to solve the problem, and it worked perfectly. I placed the magnet on a clean area of the drawer, then joined the two magnets, pulled the adhesive off one side and placed it on the drawer, then pulled the adhesive off the other side and closed the drawer. WOW! So easy.
I've found these to be the best. The adhesive holds up well, and the magnetic stick is effective. For a sheet rubber magnet, it's quite powerful. These are what I use to make magnetic planters and pen holders out of. A single square magnet is more than enough to keep a pen firmly attached to a refrigerator. A fistful of pens will fit easily into four squares. I tried another brand, but the adhesive on those began to loosen after a week, and the magnets left black smudges on our refrigerator. This brand, on the other hand, has done exceptionally well.
Three sheets of magnets are included in the package. The magnets peeled away from the wax backing with ease—perhaps a little too easily, as the first magnet peeled away from the backing and became stuck to another magnet. Fortunately, I was able to free the stuck magnet and place it on the back of a shatterproof travel mirror, exactly as I had planned. br>br>Unfortunately, I'm a total noob when it comes to crafts. Despite the fact that the magnet adhered to the mirror, it was not applied perfectly straight. However, I was unable to move the magnet after this application due to the strength of the adhesive on the back of the magnet. I carefully applied a sufficient number of magnets to the back of the mirror, keeping in mind the adhesive's bonding quality. The magnet was then adhered to the inside of a small metal case, which I used as a travel case for my safety razor. However, the magnets' strength was insufficient to penetrate the case, so I was unable to adhere the tin to a metal plate. This is a blessing in disguise because it means the tin won't magnetize the rest of my dopp kit.
In the back, I had a half-piece on each corner, and they appear to be holding up quite well. The posters measure 8 inches by 8 inches. The size is 5x11 and the paper is laminated. (I hung an extra poster on my refrigerator, which has remained in place. ).
I covered the sticky side of these magnets with paper and use them to keep track of my clients' appointments. Each of my 50 clients requires a monthly appointment with our doctor, who does not have a lot of time on his or her schedule. I use magnets to write the clients' initials on, then stick them to a whiteboard with appointment slots, and voila! I'm able to plan a month ahead of time and know exactly when to call. Without having to check their medical records to see when their last appointment was, you can schedule each person.
It's simple to use, and there's no cutting required because the base system I attach figures to is rectangular and in multiples of millimeters (20 x 40, 40 x 60, etc. ).
These squares were purchased for the purpose of adhering watercolor pans to baking tins. Scissoring the square into two rectangular pieces is simple. They do have some weight, which is the only drawback. There's nothing I can do to make things easier. I don't know how long the adhesive will last. If it starts to fall apart, I'd cover it with double-sided sticky tape.
These magnets are absolutely incredible. They stick to laminated name tags, paper, and pretty much anything else I've tried. They're more powerful than the other magnets I've used. I'll be buying more of these when I run out.
