I purchased this poster tube for an upcoming conference because the poster dimensions were larger than the standard 36" x 48" and I needed an expandable tube that could a) handle a variety of poster sizes and b) travel well. Fortunately, it appears that this tube can do both. br>br>I've looked at a lot of other poster tubes on Amazon, and a lot of people complain that when they expand their poster tube, it becomes flimsy, or that it doesn't stay expanded and crushes their poster when they're carrying it because the interlock unlocks on its own. Granted, I've only had this poster tube for a month, but it appears to be sturdy enough for travel, and the interlock appears to be fairly good/firm. I'm crossing my fingers that it stays that way =)br>br>I hope this helps others make decisions!.
br>The material is sturdy and long-lasting. br>The shoulder strap isn't long enough for the 48-inch length, so you'll have to carry it in your hand rather than on your back. br>However, it's a happy purchase overall.
Everyone is envious of how well-prepared I am! It's a little odd, but it's worth remembering for the music:.
All of my clothes are made by me, and I prefer PDF patterns. I decided to have my patterns professionally printed whenever possible, but this results in 36" X 48" sheets of paper with nowhere to store them. I prefer to trace over my patterns and make changes to the tracings rather than cutting them out because I prefer to keep all of the size lines intact. Some people will throw in the towel on their pro-life beliefs. Patterns are printed and stored in envelopes in the same way they are in traditional patterns. That's fine, but the creases in my tracing paper bother me. Take a look inside this container! br>br>This tube is adjustable, which is great because my patterns wouldn't fit in the tiniest setting. In my sewing room, it doesn't take up much space. It's also lightweight, which is beneficial because I use the strap to hang it from a hook. The patterns are heavy enough on their own, but if the tube was also heavy, I'm not sure my little 3M hook would like it. This tube is currently large enough to hold the patterns I've finally had professionally printed (roughly a dozen). There is plenty of room for me to expand. When I outgrow it, it's reasonably priced, so I don't mind purchasing another, and storing two isn't a problem.
Exceptionally well-made. Durable. Steve Jackson Games sold me this to go with my OGRE playmat, and it's perfect. For maps or mats, this is a great place to keep them.
I was impressed with the quality of this storage tube. It'll have to withstand a lot of wear and tear. It's where I keep extra mobile radio antennas. This is where the adjustability comes in handy. I no longer have to worry about spare antennas getting bent, stepped on, or misplaced because they are now stored in their own packaging. This tube should be able to withstand a lot of abuse.
For an upcoming presentation at a scientific conference, I required a poster tube. Despite the fact that I needed the tube, I had no idea what size my poster would be. I waited until the last minute to finish my poster, as any good graduate student would. Thankfully, this tube could be adjusted to fit a variety of poster sizes and was strong enough to last the duration of the conference.
I needed something durable to transport 36" x 48" conference posters by plane. This was a great solution. On a flight with a lot of other luggage and turbulence, it even managed to fit into an overhead bin. It's not too heavy. It's incredibly simple to add weight to your carry-on luggage. Its adaptable size allows it to fit any size requirement. Overall, this is an excellent choice for travel or other storage requirements. I would strongly suggest it.
