Questions & Answers
I was able to cram a dozen or more into a single tube.
The diameter appears to be about 7 inches. 5mm.
XL tube. I have six "regular" tubes, and at their maximum extension, 40 is pushing it. Furthermore, when these tubes are fully extended, the strap is no longer a strap, and they are unable to be slung in any reasonable manner.
Twist locks are a type of locking mechanism. Grab the top with one hand and the bottom with the other, twist, and slide open to the desired length before twisting back to lock.

The canister's bottom had been shattered. The box it arrived in was undamaged, so I assume it was sent that way. Someone put this in the shipping box knowing full well that it was damaged! I tried to repair it with a broom handle, but I couldn't reach it because it was caved in. See pics. My prints didn't fit because the canister was crushed on both sides, preventing them from reaching the bottom. The bottom of the other canister was also crushed, but in a different spot, so I was able to repair it with a broom handle. But here's the thing: there's a catch. You shouldn't have to change something you paid for just to make it work! and I despise having to return.
These tubes bend and flex more than I expected due to their poor construction of thin, cheap plastic. I bought these to store my daughter's artwork, and they're fine for that, but I wouldn't use them for serious transportation of posters, etc. unless I was carrying them myself or putting them into something else to transport them. They worked well for what I needed, but they weren't rigid or sturdy enough for serious transportation and protection.
For example, humidity, water, dust, dirt, mildew, and so on. The tube also easily extended to the size of my paper design, and twisting the top cover to close it was also no problem. I finally found a great product that includes a belt strap that you can wrap around your shoulder and you're good to go.
It'll do it. These tubes are simple to use and come in a variety of lengths. They're also quite sturdy. You will not be disappointed with this product, which is far superior to a cardboard shipping tube for long-term storage.
I have a serious Kickstarter board game addiction, and I adore buying neoprene playmats when they are available as optional purchases; as a result, I needed tubes to protect my playmats, and these fit the bill. I'm using them for Marvel United and Ankh playmats for the time being, and they're fantastic.
I needed something that was both durable and portable, as well as something that would protect my posters from damage during transportation. These are fantastic!.
I was working on a project. I didn't use the tubes for that, but they are excellent for the purpose for which they were designed. The ratcheting telescopic arrangement can be a little awkward, especially if one tube is rotated in the other, so I only gave it four stars.
I use these to store and transport my crossbow bolts; I made some holders out of sturdy foam, and the tubes work perfectly. The top end of the tube has a clear cap that labels what's inside. It's fantastic.
