Product Description

The US Art Supply Affordable, Black Large Telescopic Poster Tube is ideal for artists, architects, and poster collectors. It measures 4-7/8" in diameter and expands from 30-1/4" up to 47-3/4"
The poster tube is made of a rigid plastic that prevents the posters from bending or creased while in transit.
In addition, tube contains water and light resistance, so it protects materials from fading from prolonged exposure to sunlight
It is now possible to use it when the tube is fully extended because the shoulder strap is extra long
tubes can be used to store a variety of objects, including posters, blue prints, maps, documents, large photo prints, drawings, artwork, fishing rods, drum sticks, or anything else your mind can come up with.

Questions & Answers

The case is 42" tall and 62" wide. Would this be adequate to carry fishing rods I would need to check onto my aircraft? My airline says 42" for carry-on and 62" for checked baggage. ?

I find it to be a waste of time. The money I paid back was refunded to me. Although they refunded me the money, they did not require me to return it. My first experience with it was in college. For school assignments, I wanted to use the software for architectural drawings. A couple of years ago I reviewed this product for Amazon, and I thought they would have banned it. *br>*br>The plastic is thin and I can easily squish it between my fingers to about half its diameter. There are rectangular indents up the side of the extension, and a little rectangular bump on the main tube that is supposed to fit into the indents on the extension to "lock" it in. In many cases, the "locking" bump slips out of the indents because of the thinness of the plastic and flexibility of the tube. Despite having little clearance when the tube is not squeezed, it is only 1/8" deep and barely scrapes the indent of the tube when locked. Only the length of your rods keeps the tube extended, so there is not much security in the tube. don't think that would be good for your fishing Furthermore, you will have to adjust the strap so you can take off the cap, since the strap is attached to the There was just a pull on the cap. There is no way to unscrew it. The drafting tubes I got are from Chartpac. The quality is much better, and they are very stiff. barely moves when you press firmly in one spot, but pushing far enough will cause it to dent There is a screw that holds the cap In order to keep the cap on while flying, you may want to duct tape it. It's hard to tell how delicate your rods are, but I think Chart pack tube would suit you. In order to make it long enough, you will have to purchase an extension. *br> *br>They are more expensive. Together, the extensions screw into each other. The Chartpac I have is 3 12' in diameter as opposed to the US Art Supply one that is 5". The ones at Chartpac are fatter, I think. The fat ones are available at Amazon for those who are interested. If you visit a graphic arts store in your area, you could check it out and then order it there if they have them.

Is the inside diameter the same as the outside?

You will receive a 38" or a The diameter of the round is 36mm

Put it in the past
3/5

It sounds like this thing is a huge waste of money, even though I know it wasn't a lot. There is a decent concept, but it is horribly executed. Despite the fact that I needed a massive tube to store my blueprints, the cap was easily removed. A lock that turns 1/8 of a turn. It is actually too intelligent of a word to call it a mechanism. Having two little bumps to fit into two channels and to lock them in place, it is easily A second thing that chaps my hide is that the strap is connected to the cap so it gets twisted up constantly if you take the cap off and put it back on quickly. The strap never ends up being used because I am always afraid the cap will pop off. As soon as I did that, my prints slipped out with only the strap on my back and in one hand. Thank God the print didn't end up in a puddle and it wasn't It is only good for rain, but don't hold it at any angle that you may be able to get water Having it upright means rain won't slide down the screw top, but if the rain gets under the cap, you're doing more harm than good.

It's a pretty smart move to buy it now, if you don't mind losing money on return shipping
3/5

The product I bought from Amazon is arguably the worst I've ever used. It is true that the dimensions mentioned also extend to the spheres A rigid plastic, however, is not as strong as a spring. It won't lock at the length that you select, nor will it provide as much protection. As you can see in the picture, the locking mechanism is represented by little indents. More irritating than Haribo gummy bears, this drafting tube makes me cringe. In a nutshell,.

This is a lemon, so don't waste your money on it

It is unsuitable for travel or taking documents from place to place as the lock mechanism was poorly constructed and did not hold. As other reviewers have explained, the casing is fragile and may break. To and from workshops, I use this to carry large sheets of paper. There was no lock on the lid, the tube kept popping open, and then the strap started coming apart. When the tube fell apart on me in the middle of the airport, spilling everything all over the floor, that's when I decided to walk away. Despite cheap materials and shoddy design, the alarm system is unreliable when you need it the most I will be returning the product for being the wrong product for me.

The room is spacious, but easy to collapse
4/5

This travel tube is tough to rate, I wonder whether it should be given three stars or four Having four drawers and plenty of space for the ten posters I'll bring on the trip, it's a great bag for me. An adjustable locking mechanism is a joke, though, as there is 5 inches of open space inside. The lock becomes unlocked with a little twist to the left, potentially causing the poster to collapse. It is my intention to prevent this by inserting a rigid plastic tube or wooden dowel. Considering the above, duct tape may prevent this, however, do you really need duct taped items in your travel bag? There is some give in the tube when squeezed, so as long as someone heavy does not step on it or heavy luggage is not placed on top, the contents should remain That is not something I would check as luggage. It is imperative to carry on.

I tried four, and this was the best of them
4/5

One of the three I have is mine I have one 3-3/4" and one 4-1/4" Tubes that are 1/2 inch in diameter. In all three places, I keep vinyl banners I need to deliver to varying In spite of trying four brands, this one from US Art came out on top. In terms of the strap, I have two complaints. In spite of what the picture appears to say, the strap IS NOT longer than other brands. In addition, the strap is stretched tight at its maximum length when the tube length is set to max. It was the same for everyone else. Furthermore, the two red rings that attach to the strap are very cheaply constructed and I am sure they would break with continued use. In order to fix the issue, I removed the red rings and threw them away along with "Lashing Strap, Tie Down Straps Cargo Tie-down Straps Cargo Tie-down Straps" was my next purchase To replace the cheap straps, we bought 18" 1/4 black Zip Lock Straps and 18" 1/4 black Down Straps http//www. ziplock. com. We use these too often because they serve many purposes It consists of The motorbike can be carried on the shoulder for school and other activities. It is necessary to have a long strap that can be adjusted depending on the size of the person wearing it. As of now I have three strong straps with long handles. It is a great service, and I am happy with it!.

Fall aparts, but there isn't a lot of choice
3/5

Therefore, I carry plots with me and need these all the time. When the caps fall apart, the part that extends locks in and then unlocks, making it so you can slide it up and down. It is important to keep this in mind when traveling! Once it is the length I want, I tape it with black masking tape in order to seal it and lock it. The only way to be certain is to do it. In order to purchase cardboard tubes from U-tube, I went to their store As often as I can, I plan ahead and ship plots. You have to be prepared to implement some fortifying measures if you buy these products and BTW, you have a limited selection of telescoping products. It has been easier for me to use the ArtBin, but it does not have the same diameter.

It is difficult to keep the tube aligned in the "locked" position, and I am constantly having to adjust it
3/5

Because of this malfunction, the inner contents of the tube were being crushed and I had multiple instances where I was frustrated to discover that the inner contents had been crushed. Aside from that, the cap is extremely easy to take off. This is truly a lot more trouble than it is worth, so be sure that you can devote as much time as possible to making sure that that it does not mess up whatever you are carrying inside. I would not purchase another one of these products.

Despite being very gentle, these fall apart when carrying and cannot stand up to even light This is a terrible The bags are lightweight and I bought a variety of them to transport small There is an insufficient amount of security in the caps
3/5

With less than a pound in them, and holding them vertically by the strap over a shoulder with the cap raised, the tubes would fall open/apart when walking, causing the On two of them, the plastic hardware at the point where the straps attach to the case has broken. No matter how gently you use them, they will not hold up.
