Depending on the flex in the plastic, the inside diameter is around 6 1/2".
Yes, this item can be used to send packages. It's possible that the strap will need to be secured so that it doesn't get caught on something during shipping, such as a conveyor belt.
I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer to your question. This tube is available in eight different designs. 3 1/8 inch D x 25 inches to 42 1/2 inches length, according to the one I ordered. The model I have has a smaller inside diameter than the stated one. Inside diameter is approximately 75mm (2 3/4 inch). When the inside diameter is compared to the stated outside diameter, you will lose about 3/8 inch.
In fact, when I take my own measurements of the interior dimensions, I get 6. 75". I'll admit that the descriptions were a little perplexing. But here's what I can tell you: I was taken aback by how nice this tube is. It's sturdy and attractive, and I bought two of them the same day from US Art Supply, one of which is actually 4 inches long. A much more flimsy plastic is used for the 5" interior diameter. It'll do the job (and save you money), but the 7" version is far superior.

I needed something that would protect the items, as well as be long and large enough to wrap around them. I was convinced I'd found the ideal solution. The poor quality of this item has made me feel ripped off. I made it to my event and back without any damage to my belongings. However, that's all there is to it. Because the 'lock' doesn't work and will simply slide up and down if you blink at it incorrectly, I had to duct tape the tube to the desired length. Then. I couldn't even get to the car to load the luggage before it was too late. The strap clips that held the strap to the tube's body had broken off. The part that held the lid's strap in place. This was the case. Then the back-and-forth sliding handle began to fall off. If you looked at it from a different perspective, it would look like this. eyed. It was either going to fall off one end or the other. Trying to get it through the airport was the most agonizing experience I've ever had! There was nothing to grab onto, and I was constantly afraid that the final clip holding the strap to the lid would break, leaving me with nothing to grab onto. Then there's the lid, which is extremely difficult to close. wants to cross thread all of the time, and then as the tube flexes, it wants to cross thread again. I was afraid it'd fall off. So I wrapped a piece of duct tape around the top and sides of the lid to keep it in place. Thank goodness it didn't break! I'll be back. 'Screw this,' I said, and went to check the stupid thing. The biggest waste of $60 I've ever seen.
For a one-of-a-kind solution, five stars. I needed a way to transport two reproduction baskets, so I came up with a clever solution. broadswords with hilts Other reviews chastised the product for failing to securely lock the segments together. That is why pop-up shops exist. rivets. To keep the swords (in their scabbards) in place, I discovered that a Yoga block (9" x 6" x 4") fits snugly into the tube, leaving enough room on the sides for the scabbards to be held snugly in place. The first sword is inserted into the hilt, followed by the Yoga block, and finally the second sword. Instead of snapping on, the top is secured with screws. There are no security concerns because the lock is the same as in the smaller versions. It's ready to go now that I've wrapped some black Gorilla tape around the seam! Perhaps you won't have as much luck with this product. It may be suited to your specific needs, but for me, it's gold.
I bought a couple of these and the lid will not stay screwed on no matter what you do. That means you won't be able to carry them by the strap. And if you try to carry the tube by its handle, it will fall off. Essentially, these are only useful for storing items and not for transporting them.
This was purchased in order to transport large artwork from and to Australia. It has just been returned to me, and the tube is still in good condition, so I can highly recommend it for shipping artwork as a durable, strong tube that has successfully traveled from New York to Sydney and back. For shipping and storage, I will purchase this product in various sizes.
This device isn't performing as expected. If you have a large set of plans, as this is designed for, the strap, handle, and cap all come apart. It all started when the strap came undone and the tube crashed to the ground the first time I used it. The handle then fell off, and the cap also fell off at times. I'm returning it; I'd rather not have it because it's unreliable and poorly constructed.
It will undoubtedly accommodate all of the documents I require. It's solid and well-made. br>Delivery was prompt, and I would buy from them again.
Do not make a purchase. You should really pay attention to what other people have to say. Purchase this item at your own risk. The first time I used it, every single piece of plastic broke off. Only half a roll of duct tape holds it together at this point, so it's still useful.
When closing or opening the cap, the strap gets caught. I have to be very careful when moving the strap with the cap. Aside from that, everything is fine. Unbreakable, sturdy hard plastic.
