This is the storage solution you've been looking for. This isn't the one to get if you want something durable. It looked sturdy and had a carrying strap, so I decided to buy it. Because I can't sling it over my back, I'll have to use the strap to keep the top and bottom together. If I don't use the strap to secure both ends of the top together, it might slip off. There isn't anything to screw on the lid. The entire extension that slides into the bottom tube is what appears to be a lid. I wouldn't trust it to be leak-proof because the top tube slides into the bottom tube. The contents would be fine if it were dropped. It's possible that the contents would be bent if something heavy fell on it. I was using a heavy cardboard mailing tube when I placed this order. If I hadn't taped the lid down, it would have come off easily, but I believe it was more secure than this tube. It'll also take a month to arrive because it's shipped from China.

It's extremely durable and ideal for travel or storage, but due to the way it's constructed, it can't hold 24x36 rolled documents. To get long documents in, it requires a short cap rather than a long barrel.

However, closing this tube is a pain; you must fold the metal clip from the plastic ring on the lid, and this metal clip isn't built to last. This tube, in my opinion, is better suited for storing rather than transporting important documents on a daily basis.
