Questions & Answers
The opening is about 4-inches wide on the inside. It is 3/8" wide, but it narrows to 4". 1/4" on the inside of the carrier
Well. After a few uses, mine started to detach itself. I'm sure a clever marketer would call it "auto-pilot." "removable."
The 4., based on the sound bar, appears to be a good fit. It's pretty accurate to say that the diameter is 25 inches. The cap, however, does not always stay put; I don't mind because I'm storing an inflatable surf mat in it. It's made to store architectural documents. The sound bar would be a concern for me.
Selected User Reviews For Alvin, Black Knight, BTR4, Expandable and Water-Resistant Storage Tube - 4¼ Inches I.D.
This tube appeared to be the ideal size for transporting our sketches and photos - dimensions are excellent, the strap is convenient, and it is easily adjustable - However, the lid failed on the first use, and when it came off, the tube fell off my shoulder, causing serious injury to my foot and spilling the contents into the street. We didn't have time to return it or order a new tube, so the lid has been taped to the tube and it has now traveled with us several times. It appears to work, but it is so poorly made that the lid will not lock on, and it is sticky and stained with tape, necessitating the carrying of a roll of packaging tape with us each time we need to use it.
The fact that it is the only 4 inch diameter Tube I could find on Amazon is a plus. The majority of Amazon Tubes come in only two sizes. They have a 75-inch diameter, making them unsuitable for a complete set of blueprints (18 pages and up). The slightly smaller Tubes are approximately 1. 25 inches in diameter. This one costs more than twice as much as the previous one, at $12. For a slightly larger diameter, it simply does not make sense. If the price was more reasonable, I would give the product four stars.
For the price, this is an excellent product; however, the end cap should be avoided. The carrying strap is attached to one end of the cap, but the cap does not secure itself to the tube. Because I had several canvas prints in the tube, it was heavy, and the cap fell off while I was carrying it. The problem was quickly solved by wrapping a small strip of duct tape around the expandable section and another around the cap. I would recommend this product despite this minor change.
This is not a solid tube; it is adjustable, but the adjustment mechanism releases (if you don't need to adjust it, some duct tape would hold it in place). It wouldn't hold up in a court of law. If something heavy were to fall on it, it would be in a stressful situation. Consider your requirements carefully. You should probably get a more durable tube. br>br>However, this was an excellent match for my requirements. I needed a tube with a large enough diameter to protect my band's banner as well as my rainstick, which I roll up inside it. It had to be waterproof and have a strap for me. I didn't want anything that would last longer than I needed it to and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. It has a professional appearance and keeps the cap in place.
It's big and heavy, and the lock doesn't work. I took it on a plane and it kept opening and closing (in the empty seat next to me). The posters' edges become wrinkled as well. The shoulder strap does keep you in place, but it isn't very good. I would not purchase this item. br>br>However, there are a few advantages: It passed through airport security without a hitch, and it isn't particularly heavy.
The bag was nice and big, but it broke after only one use. br>I used it as a carry-on luggage and to transport my poster to a conference. Although no excessive force was used, the buckle on the strap broke, making it impossible to tighten the strap (which was always in the loosest position). It can still be used, but the extra-long strap makes carrying it more difficult.
Plastic and integration are of poor quality. It is not possible to firmly lock a length at a certain point. The ad claims that it is water resistant, but it is not the case. My order arrived on time, but the joint between the cap and trunk cracked during the first use, despite the fact that no one hit it. If you're looking for a long-term relationship, stay away from it. a long-lasting tube If you need a lot of space and want to use a disposable tube, this could be a good option. It has a minimum capacity of ten posters.
For a tabletop display that came in a soft case, I needed a hard case shipping option. So far, so good, but I'm not sure how long it'll last because it's only been shipped twice. The fact that it can be telescopically extended is a plus, and the dimensions meant that it cost less to ship than if it had been boxed. It's easy to pack and unpack, and it has a built-in strap so it's ready to go.
