Questions & Answers

Can alcohol be used to remove ink?

I believe it is dependent on the type of paper used, but I wiped it off with alcohol after a few hours on a typical Amazon label. Alcohol will, therefore, remove it.

What's the best way to re-ink an ID roller security stamp?

It is not possible to re-use these ID stamps. inked. You use them up until the ink runs out, then discard them. However, each stamp comes with a large amount of ink. I attempted to re-use a re-use a re-use a re It was a very messy ink type. I tossed it and am now solely relying on this ID roller security stamp.

Is it possible to use this method on prescription bottle labels as well?

It worked on CVS labels, but not on Kroger prescriptions, which are missing the name, prescription number, and medication name. In general, I would say "no."

Is there anyone who has a regular id roller vs. a large id roller? the one with the most space Is this something that works? I've come across some conflicting opinions. ?

The second question is one that I can answer. It is effective. But, as with anything, there are a few caveats. If you roll your mouse over it too many times, it becomes a single solid black mark. If it's solid, you'll be able to see what's underneath. All that is required is a single pass or swipe of these. If you don't use it too much, you won't be able to see what's underneath. It only takes a couple of swipes to cover what you want, and it's completely illegible. I'm still using mine, and when the ink runs out, I'll order some more.

BEWARE
3/5

There are two to three stars in this category. I was so eager to try out this device that I used it as an address label on the mailing envelope it came in. I went over the label one by one. My name and address were still legible to anyone. I let it dry before going over it once more. It wasn't completely dark, but it was fine. br>br>I really like these now that I've had them for a few months. I was misusing it and discovered that if I rolled harder, everything would be covered. br>br>I just got my new order of these stamps in the mail. The old ones still work fine, but I didn't want to go without any, especially since it had been a while. I've changed my rating yet again, and it's not because they're ineffective. They're very effective! But because they are now HALF the SIZE for around the same price (true, I did not read the description this time), I believe it is my fault. It used to be that you could cover all of your addresses with a single swipe; now you have to go back and forth. I'll try a different brand next time because I feel ripped off.

Keep an eye on the size; I ordered one of these from a catalog and it works great, but I had no idea they came in two sizes
5/5

Not so much because these are the smaller size and require two or more passes to cover an address, which I thought was a great deal from Amazon. I'll have to do some research to figure out which size I'll order next time, but the product hides the address well enough that you only need to make two or three passes with these small stamps rather than one quick swipe with the larger one.

Doesn't do what it says on the tin! Even after several passes with the roller over the text, you can see right through the ink
3/5

(It was difficult to photograph, but if you hold the letter at the right angle, you can see where it says "Send No Money Now" under the ink. ) The personal information I'm trying to keep hidden from identity thieves is easily accessible! ) It also does not work on glossy papers, contrary to what is advertised. Be wary of the buyer! The seller has been contacted and I have requested a refund.

On normal paper surfaces, it works well
3/5

This is a fantastic solution. However, when I used it on the shipping label that came with the package, it became completely transparent. When I tried it on a prescription label, it was see-through again, so I deducted two stars. I bought this to hide my information from junk mail, but I discovered that if the ink isn't black, like blue, it shows through. They're also replaceable when the ink runs out, but they're only good for one use once the ink has dried out. With that said, you must be very careful when using it to ensure that the cover is tightened after each use. We'll have to wait and see if they last as long as they claim. br>Recent changes: The rating has been reduced from three to one star. These are completely ineffective. I've been using it on all of my mail/packages, with the exception of a few. I didn't need to use a pen or a sharpie to completely cover all three of them. Very let down. I'm going to come back because I don't need them.

They arrived in smaller groups
5/5

The business contacted me and informed me of the situation. This item was originally purchased in a larger size, and when I re-ordered it, it was in a smaller size. The smaller ones were ordered as gifts and arrived. I was a little let down. The business got in touch with me and explained that there are two sizes: 1. 1 and . 6 and they immediately replaced my smaller ones at no additional cost. These are fantastic, and I gave them to my family, who adores them as well. I no longer have to shred everything, and it's also great for prescription bottles! Customer service from the seller (Plus Corporation of America) is unrivaled!.

It's not going to work over a glossy print
3/5

I received these in the mail today and immediately used them on all of the mail I had received. It seemed to work fine until I angled the light reflection off the paper. Then, using the "Security Stamp" ink, I was able to read all of the printing. It only worked with flat black printing on paper.

These items are fantastic! Because identity theft is so common these days, I make it a habit to shred anything that comes in the mail that contains my name and address
5/5

The issue is that it is inconvenient, and I frequently end up with a mountain of junk mail to shred. With these Identity Theft ink rollers, you won't have to worry about it anymore. Rolling ink over my information takes about 3 seconds, and then I can just throw it away. Nobody can read it because the ink covers it completely. Although the package states that certain solvents may remove the ink, I figure that if someone wants to go to that much trouble just to get my name and address after picking it out of the trash, they should go ahead and do so. I'm not going to use this ink roller on any sensitive papers, such as those containing bank account information; those will be shredded instead. This thing, however, is fantastic for concealing my name and address. br>br>These ships come in three different colors as shown. The only thing that stood out to me was that one came in a sealed package like you'd find in a store, another in a plain white cardboard box, and the third came in a plastic bag. That struck me as odd, but these are fantastic nonetheless. I looked at the other brands/versions on Amazon and these appeared to be the best deal. When these are finished, I will definitely order more.

Doesn't do what it says on the tin
3/5

The labels are not covered by the black ink. The label is clearly visible once the ink has dried. The label was clearly visible after four applications of the roller. Although the concept is excellent, the product falls short of expectations.
