The case is designed to hold coins that have been encapsulated, commonly graded by NGC, PCGS, etc. If the bars you mention are similar in size to, say, a silver dollar (width and height, not necessarily round), the case should work. If you gut the slab holder slots in the box, it will not hold larger bars.
A handle is not present on this box. Despite apparent lack of handle, 30 slab box has one.
No, it does not contain acids
There are seven 7mm or 5/16 in slots. This slab is suitable for PCGS.

It's not allowed to give a ZERO rating. As far as I can tell, the box I received was defective. I assumed it was aluminum, but I am There seems to be approximately 1/16" of a thickness to the material. Is it possible that parts of the box are covered in silver colored plastic? I found the front of the box to be warped and bowed. It was bowed downward at the bottom. There are no corners that hit a flat surface unless you push them towards the floor. My table can spin like a top when I spin the box! In order to avoid someone else getting the box if I returned it, I'll most likely toss it in the trash so no one will know that I own any junk items. I have attached a photo as proof that the box I received was real.
This coin box is very sturdy and very nice. The fact that it works with both PCGS and NCG holders is a plus for me. liked how it fit in the safety deposit box Also, with the 25 coin box AND the 10 coin box, I was able to fit them BOTH in the standard 5 x 5 SD box. You have to lay them on top, this is the picture.
There is nothing more desirable when it comes to slab coins than this storage case. The product is well made and most importantly it fits any slab including wide slabs Both PCGS and NGC coin holders I have purchased in the past have had problems fitting slabs which are either too wide or tall for them.
It took me a while to decide whether to purchase two There is a tendency for the cases to dent and scratch easily. There is a difference in size between each of the PCGS slots, so I was unable to fit all my coins inside them all. Some fit much tighter There is something wrong with the quality of this item.
My favorite aspect of this storage case is the fact that it is durable and reasonably Currently, I'm using it to store the slabs of my NGC, PCGS, and ANACS coins. In the slots, the slabs of NGC coins fit very well A loose fit is possible for coin slabs from ANACS and PCGS. It would be better to use this case for coins from the NGC collection. If you are a coin collector, I recommend this case.
So far, I've purchased four and will probably continue to do so. I recommend you not to waste your money on a plastic box with too small a lid, or too large a box with no foam! This box with foam fits perfectly! Thanks for the good work!.
The gift I received was perfect. The fact that my son could look in the top and see the coins stored made him really happy. Keeping it safe and secure was also important to me, so I'm glad it was aluminum. It is worth every penny and I plan to buy another one.
My collection of graded coins has been growing for years now, so I decided to collect them all The shipper shipped the order quickly and was pleasant to deal with.
