(But see below) There is a beeping sound you cannot turn off. The only thing that would make this 5 stars for me is if there was an easy way to turn off the loud, generic 'ben' you hear when pressing buttons. Based on a bottom-up approach This is a two-level, programmable system In conjunction with It is cheap to get a keypad. An upscale hotel A small, personal safe with just enough room and hardware to be an acceptable deterrent to children and/or anyone looking for something quick - but with no room for things like jewellery or laptops - That would make this easy to clamp into a nightstand, hall shelf, or similar to discourage someone just enough to steal your television rather than whatever you decide to keep inside. This would make it easy to break into but they wouldn't have the time or skill to break through its door. We do not have quality control at this site A safe with a $25 cashier's check is inside. It's definitely a good bang for your $25 bucks as someone who has owned a lot of safes of different sizes, sizes, and prices. Please note
. Let's move on to the next part Only downfall is (AFAICT) there is no way to disable the loud beeping sound every time you press a button. There is a lot of noise I'm sure the intruder would hear you beeping away when you keep a gun on your nightstand, hear something upstairs, and decided to arm yourself as your spouse quietly calls 911, regardless of how far away they may be or how many doors separate them from you. -Perhaps I'm exaggerating as much as I should Ok, so maybe I'm exaggerating a little In spite of that Although the beep cost $25, I do not understand why there isn't an easy way to turn it off. may or may not be such a thing, but after Googling for about 15 minutes, I found nothing. In the end, I decided to go with another solution (as my headline implies) The first thing I did was open the safe, pull out the batteries, then unscrew the plastic interior "box" that holds the electronics, then unscrew the single electronics board from the "box" along with my cheap soldering iron, and then start up. I soldered the tiny speaker on the board. After only removing one solder-pin, the board sounded great! One of the speakers had actually fallen off, which was nice since I did not have to spend any more time repairing it All I had to do was put the thing back together, and voila! Putting an end to the It's one hell of a fix, despite the fact that it's one shot Although you don't need to know much about electronics or have very basic tools to do this, it's still a little tough. It's definitely possible that you could break the device. In spite of this, given that I need to access this when my wife is sleeping, I'm glad I spent the extra 15 minutes To be honest with you, who needs a beep to tell them that they have hit a key, when the keypad already shows a LED to not only indicate whether or not a key was pressed, but also gives you an indication whether it has been pressed. The means - Is it time to "go" LED when you already have the right combo? I gave it a 5/4 for the absence of beeping- Getting rid of Five out of five stars for "would buy again. ". As well as As well as the speaker, solder it again.
A few months after it was purchased, I received a message from Amazon. When I first received it, I was satisfied. It seemed solid enough, and having a digital code was better than carrying a keychain full of keys. I lost all functionality of my code near the end of August. When I pressed the door button, the lights still flashed and the buttons beeped, but the door wouldn't When I opened it with my key, I tried to figure out what the problem was. I tried new batteries, but they didn't work. A change in the code did not accomplish the same thing. A search on the Internet revealed that this is a common problem and that a fix is not yet available. Also, I found out that there is an alternate way to open this safe if the code stops working and the key gets lost When you drop it, drop it from a height of around two feet on a hard surface It only takes three frets to pop the door It is possible for anyone to do that, too. Thus, I now have a digital safe that is not very secure and requires a key to unlock. The purchase I made here wasn't one of my best.
The way the code works and how to change it can be a little confusing. The knob seems to be of low quality. The purchase was a good deal for the money. However, it locks, which is the most important feature. A gift for my grandson, 8, who is 8 years old. For very important documents or items, it would not be a good idea to use it on an adult. There is no way to make it work for this.
It was impossible to replace the battery since it was on the inside of my keys. Luckily, I was able to break the battery apart and replace it.
During the opening and closing process, I found it to be extremely cumbersome and necessary to exert an unusual amount of effort. I would not rate it as Fort Knox, but it's sturdy and it would deter a robbery from getting into it / carrying it off.
It's a very good quality box and I'm very happy with it. Using you key will let you recover your password if you forget it. In the future, I hope that there will be a smaller one that I can put my passport and cash in that I will be able to travel with overseas.
This is a very small safe, but it's great for storing important papers and passports together so you don't loose them. You can mount it on the wall or mount it on the floor. If you want to leave quickly, you can take everything with you.
It is possible to lock with either a code or a I am a little disappointed by how loose the knob on the opener is, but it works as it should. This might not last for long, however. There is no way to know until time passes.
