A few months after it was purchased, I received a message from Amazon. When I first received it, I was satisfied. It seemed solid enough, and having a digital code was better than carrying a keychain full of keys. I lost all functionality of my code near the end of August. When I pressed the door button, the lights still flashed and the buttons beeped, but the door wouldn't When I opened it with my key, I tried to figure out what the problem was. I tried new batteries, but they didn't work. A change in the code did not accomplish the same thing. A search on the Internet revealed that this is a common problem and that a fix is not yet available. Also, I found out that there is an alternate way to open this safe if the code stops working and the key gets lost When you drop it, drop it from a height of around two feet on a hard surface It only takes three frets to pop the door It is possible for anyone to do that, too. Thus, I now have a digital safe that is not very secure and requires a key to unlock. The purchase I made here wasn't one of my best.

The way the code works and how to change it can be a little confusing. The knob seems to be of low quality. The purchase was a good deal for the money. However, it locks, which is the most important feature. A gift for my grandson, 8, who is 8 years old. For very important documents or items, it would not be a good idea to use it on an adult. There is no way to make it work for this.

It was impossible to replace the battery since it was on the inside of my keys. Luckily, I was able to break the battery apart and replace it.

During the opening and closing process, I found it to be extremely cumbersome and necessary to exert an unusual amount of effort. I would not rate it as Fort Knox, but it's sturdy and it would deter a robbery from getting into it / carrying it off.

It's a very good quality box and I'm very happy with it. Using you key will let you recover your password if you forget it. In the future, I hope that there will be a smaller one that I can put my passport and cash in that I will be able to travel with overseas.

This is a very small safe, but it's great for storing important papers and passports together so you don't loose them. You can mount it on the wall or mount it on the floor. If you want to leave quickly, you can take everything with you.
