Connie, our bag has a capacity to hold papers up to 3 inches wide, but a stack up to 3 inches tall is too large for the bag I cannot use a binder that is two inches wide. My choice for this safe bag was inspired by the fact that it was designed and tested by firefighters. I reviewed nearly every similar fireproof, water resistant safe bag. I purchased this product for photo storage in case of a fire, but it would be appropriate to store legal documents as well. Although the designers appear to have put it through rigorous testing, we still carried out our own testing. The bag was only heated by holding a flame under it, so there was no indication of damage. It's a good product that has a good size! This is a tough bag made out of heavy duty material, the thickness is surprising, and the size is good for storing many documents inside. I'd highly recommend this product! It's best to keep it under the bed or on a safe place of the floor during a fire (since it's the coldest place on the ground when and if there's a fire). You just need to remember where it is if anything goes wrong.

When it came time for me to use something to place documents/money/valuables in, I selected this item. I highly recommend it. There are no rips or tears in the pouch, and it is well made, sturdy, and Since I have not submerged the product in any liquid, I feel more confident about placing items inside. It appears to be water resistant, but I have not tried submerging it in a liquid, and I believe its statement of fire resistance since I have not tried it.
I feel like it's really strong. There is a zipper and Velcro closure to keep the bag closed, which is nice. With its slim design, it can easily be stored wherever, and the material feels extremely thick and protective. The durability test hasn't been put to the test yet because there hasn't been a fire or flood, but I feel fairly confident that it will protect my important documents.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Fire and water resistance won't be tested as this machine is quite sturdy and durable-- I'm just going to leave that to you! In order for it to work the way it is advertised, I will have to put my faith in it.
A zip-top pouch is included for extra protection. This bag is strong, the Velcro is tight, and the zippered pouch provides protection equally. As well as being flame resistant, the material is also very durable. The only way to tell is to touch it. This is an excellent product.
