Questions & Answers

When I take all of my precise v5 (unretractables) on a plane, they seem to link badly. How well do these pens perform in a pressurized environment such as a plane?

On the Pilot website, it is suggested that you remove the cap and hold the pen point-down. When flying with liquid ink pens (such as the Precise v5), keep them on their side. I'm not sure, but I believe it's because the small air bubble inside is forced to sit near the point, allowing the air to escape rather than the ink to escape.

Are there any bleed marks on these? Or blob?

When compared to liquid ink pens in a similar price range (such as the Uni Ball Vision), this pen does an excellent job of not bleeding through. After putting it to the test on regular copy paper, I discovered that it worked even when I was writing at a snail's pace. allowing for the creation of a think line- There is little to no bleeding as a result of this procedure. When pressing the pen against paper for an extended period of time to make a dot, it will bleed through in about 7 seconds (depending on the application force). This pen blob has never escaped my notice in my life; When you say blob, I assume you're referring to an excess of ink when you first start writing.
- I hope you found this information useful.

Will it splinter when it reaches its breaking point, and how much pressure can it withstand?

When I've used them, the only time they've been damaged is when I've dropped them tip first on the floor, in which case the tip bends. After a few instances of this, I was able to bend it back without difficulty.

Is the tub of 48 pieces divided into four colors?

Yes.

It is possible to refill it
4/5

to some extent. I've been a long-time Pilot Precise V5 user, so when the RT (retractable) version was released, I was ecstatic. They keep the long nib, which is great for design work, but they've added a nice grip, retractability, and refillability. While retractability is a great feature for not losing pen caps, the ability to refill these pens is what makes them so great! If you're using Black, Blue, or Red, that is. Otherwise, there don't seem to be any refills available, so it'll have to be treated as a disposable pen. Because this disappoints my inner environmentalist, I only give it a four-star rating. I'll gladly upgrade it to a 5 star rating once they release refills for all of the colors.

They are no longer what they were
3/5

These pens used to be nice and juicy for drawing, but they became scarce on stationery shelves and art stores, so I purchased this set on Amazon- They do, however, produce a dry, thin, scratchy line that skips horribly. To get anything, you have to press down so hard that it leaves bad indentations on the paper beneath the one you're drawing on. I figured it was just because these had been sitting on Amazon's shelf for too long, so I went to Office Depot and bought some. They had to change their manufacturing methods, or the consistency of the ink, or something. They're fine for taking notes, but they're not suitable for drawing.

So silky and high-quality! They're fantastic! I'm really enjoying these so far! Every color has such a nice flow to it! I've used other Pilot products before and enjoy a lot of what they have to offer, so I've been wanting to try these for a while
5/5

It was well worth the money! After these run out of ink, I'll be ordering more. I'm hoping they'll hold up for a while!!.

Best. Pen. Ever. These are my go-to pens for work (I'm right-handed). I'm always taking notes on my patients and folding my papers to stuff into my white coat. I've never had a problem with the ink smearing on my hand or my white coat because it dries almost instantly. When writing, the pen has a wonderful feel. I like the blue because it contrasts with the black ink on my printed notes, making it easy to tell which ones I've taken. I have to constantly reorder more because every time I go to get one at work, there are none available. That should tell you how much the rest of the world enjoys them as well! I can't say how long the ink will last because it usually disappears before it runs out. I've tried other pens in a similar style, such as Energel, and these are by far the best; 10/10 would recommend!.

Definitely not irreversible! So far, the Zebra F- has served me well
3/5

301 as well as F 402 pens have been used for over a decade and thousands, if not tens of thousands, of pages have been documented. These pens have served me well and have proven to be very durable; however, quality control appears to have deteriorated in recent years, and I occasionally receive a dud that does not function properly. It's not a big deal; I just pick up another pen and I'm good to go for another few months. However, it is a pain. br>br>As a result, I decided to do some research to see if there were any other brands that could meet my basic requirements. Pens that are black, indelible, dependable, fine-tipped, and write smoothly are required. My go-to team has always been the Zebras. They are acceptable as long as they meet all of these criteria. However, after reading the glowing reviews for the Pilot Precise V5 RT, I decided to give them a try. br>br>For $5, I bought a three-pack. 69 dollars, which is a good deal given that I paid $8 for it. 29 for a two-pack of Zebra F-style shoes. 402 pens. However, as soon as I took it out of the package, it felt far too light, which I knew would be difficult to adjust to. With a metal housing and a weight of 18 ounces, the Zebra is a heavyweight. I weighed them on a field standard scale and they came out to be 49 grams. The Pilot was only slightly heavier, weighing in at 10 pounds. 75 grams. However, given that the design is almost entirely made of plastic, this is to be expected. They were almost the same girth and length as the Zebra pens, so they felt good in the hand, and they had the same nice rubber grip as the Zebras. br>br>The most important part of the test is, of course, the writing portion. I wouldn't call it bad, but the Pilot seemed to have a lot more resistance. Furthermore, if you wrote more slowly, you'd be able to see how much the pen bleeds. If you have a brain fart and then pause for a moment while your pen is still on the paper, it will bleed even more and go right through it. Furthermore, despite the fact that they are described as an extra fine point (0. On paper, they appeared to be the same width as the Zebra, which is only advertised as a fine point (0. 7 mm). Because I sometimes need to document in small fields on forms and other things, the bleeding I experienced when writing slower caused that width to be clearly wider than the Zebra, which won't work for me. br>br> Worst of all, they aren't even indestructible. I wrote with each pen and performed a dry smudge test followed by a wet smudge test, with the Pilot's ink smearing significantly while the Zebra's ink remained unblemished. The Pilot's demise was sealed by the wet smudge test, which revealed that the ink had been completely smeared, far beyond what anyone would consider acceptable, and certainly not in my regulated line of work. I wasn't surprised at all when the Zebra didn't smudge except for a very, very slight hazing around the words, which was barely noticeable. br>br>In conclusion, if you're looking for a cheap pen for taking quick notes on sticky pads and the like, the Pilot is a good option; otherwise, I'd avoid them. For the Zebra pens, I'm willing to pay the higher price.

Lefties will love it! The writing is so smooth! I recently purchased a set of Pilot Precise V5rts and am very pleased with them so far
5/5

For years, I've used Pilot G2 retractables, but I've come to the conclusion that the G2s aren't all that great unless you want to write in black ink all the time. All of the other inks would clump together, leaving only the red ink. About half way through the cartridge, green would skip and stop writing. br>I'm still getting used to the V5's rolling ball, but I love how smoothly they write, especially since I'm a lefty and these don't smear. They also dry quickly, so there will be no streaks when highlighting. br>As for the pen's feel, this is the one area where I'd reduce the rating to four stars, but they write so well that I can't bring myself to do so. The grip is excellent, but the top of the barrel feels a little too light and cheap; however, the clip helps to balance the weight. I also dislike how the retract button is loose when the tip is pushed out for writing, but that's a minor quibble. br>Overall, these are excellent pens, and I'll be using the V5s for years to come assuming I don't have any ink issues like I did with the G2s.
