The point on these pens is medium. I have these in medium point, but I prefer the fine point of the black ones. I prefer the medium point pens because they seem to write more smoothly, but because I have very small handwriting, I prefer the black fine point pens for taking notes. I find these pens to be very comfortable to use, and I believe they last a long time; I usually write at least 70 pages front and back before the pen runs out.
I'm not sure what you mean by mush, but the point doesn't mash down like a felt tip pen, and it doesn't constantly accumulate a glob of ink like some less expensive ballpoint pens do. It's ideal for drawing with a ballpoint pen.
I'm assuming that if it says Burgundy Maroon, that's the color it'll write; I've ordered a few ccolors from them before and they've never written a color other than what I expected. I'd previously ordered red pens, but they didn't look anything like this.

They have a lovely color and glide so smoothly. I spend a lot of time studying the Bible. jot down a lot of information. These are something I always have on hand. It's just that they're so silky. nice and cozy! It's impossible for me to express my admiration for them enough. They also don't stain Bible paper! If you take a lot of scripture notes or plan to write a lot, these are a must-have.
a great grip and a lot of comfortbr>- vibrant colors with no ink clumping or skippingbr>- -br>-br>-br>-br>-br>-b clear and simple to write neatly (these are still fine points in my opinion)br>- I can't say enough about how nice the barrels look. br>br>I can't say enough good things about these pens. br>br>the one thing I think of as a minor but significant disadvantage:
- The black and red inks aren't as vibrant as some of the other pens I've tried, but they're close. (it's as if they're 95% there)
These pens have helped me get through high school, college, and law school. I used the same pens the entire time (they aren't the most professional-looking, but I like them). ) If they stop making them, we should all probably riot in some good ol' passive writing with the god-like pens they helped to unleash! br>br>However, there is one drawback. Twirling my pens around is one of my favorite pastimes. I had the weight distribution of the old pens down to a milligram. The ones I just got are a smidgeon lighter than the previous versions, and I mean smidgeon. I'm guessing they made them lighter to cut down on the amount of plastic used. But, I suppose, I'll just have to accept it.
The following are some of the advantages of these pens: The weight is good, the grip is good, and the handle is comfortable to hold. Also attractive are the colors. Unfortunately, when using the pens, they do not flow very smoothly. Worse, the ink "glops" up as you write; it "pools" or dribbles a little when you first start writing, then dribbles again when you stop. Because of this, it's very easy to smear. I bought them with the intention of using them in my artwork, but I'm unable to do so. I'll continue to use them for casual purposes, but I wouldn't use them for anything that required a "professional" appearance. I would not recommend these and would not purchase them again.
These were purchased for my daughter's AP Biology class, which required colored pens. We were looking for COLORFUL pens in particular, and she loved them. This packaging, on the other hand, advertises "smooth writing," which isn't the case. These pens glop and smear like gel pens, according to her. She does not make use of them, resulting in a financial loss. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.
When I returned to school, I decided to purchase these pens so that I could color-code my course notes according to the class I was taking. What I really like about these colors is how well they complement the Sharpie Accent retractable highlighters. For the same class, I use the same highlighter and pen, so I always know which class my notes and printouts belong to. For everyday use, I used a black pen and a yellow highlighter.
Pens are one of my favorite things in the world. The Pentel R is one of my favorites. I was looking for pens and thought these colored ink pens would be perfect for a work project. I liked the variety of colors because they matched what I wanted to do with them. The most serious issue is that they leave "blobs" of ink at the start of writing and occasionally throughout while continuing to write, which can be smeared across the page. Also, I wanted to make a more specific point that these have, and I've since realized what 0. 7 and 1. 0 and 0. When buying pens, the number 5 refers to the fine vs. medium point distinction. I only use these to color or doodle with now that I've figured out the difference in tip pointage. I don't use it at work anymore (which is a real bummer).
