Questions & Answers

What is their manufacturing location?

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with Newell Rubbermaid Office Products. Korea is where the ink pens are made. Thank you, Newell Rubbermaid Office Productsbr>

Is it the darker blue shade or the prettier lighter blue shade that these pens come in? I got a variety pack that included both blue shades. What color is it, exactly?

The color of these pens is a deeper blue.

Is it a glob or a leak? Thanks?

No, no, and no! No leaking or globbing, just nice bold writing! I am very particular about my pens, and these are by far the best.

What is the exact length of this pen when the point is retracted?

Because I don't have a ruler, I can't give you the pen's exact dimensions. It's about 6 inches long, which is about the size of a standard pen. I have the one with purple ink, and it fits nicely in your hand. It's a lovely color, and I prefer it to a couple of other purple ink pens I've purchased. The only issue I have with these pens is that they dry out quickly; however, if you leave them out for a day, they will dry out again. Then try writing with them again; it'll go back to being inky.

4 millimeters vs
5/5

1 millimeter 6 mm: This is a review of the BOLD ballpoint pen. When I write fiction, I use 7" x 10" Japanese import notebooks (Apica B5 ruled notebooks, Tsubame B5 Ruled notebooks, Kokuyo Mister notebook B5, or the more glossy Kokuyo Campus notebooks). Let's face it: the nature of a notebook's writing surface is important for a variety of reasons. It's also possible that the pen we choose will make a difference. However, there are as many different types of pens as there are different types of people. Some people prefer extra fine ballpoint pens, others prefer fine ballpoint pens, and still others prefer bold ballpoint pens. Everything is dependent on your preferences - Lined writing can be thin or thick. This, too, is related to the writing surface, which can be rough, hard, normal, or near-perfect. Kokuyo notebooks, for example, have a glossy surface. br>br>Because this is a pen review (for a BOLD ballpoint pen, no less), please bear with me. br>br>To put the review in context, I'd have to stack different brands of pens side by side to show anyone reading this what a 1. The difference between a 6 mm pen and a 1 mm pen. A different model version of the same brand's 6 mm pen. I also threw in a 1 for good measure. In the mix, a 4 mm ballpoint pen. They are as follows: br> The BIC Velocity is a measure of how quickly something happens. BIC Atlantis 1, 6 mm RT pen A RT pen with a diameter of 6 mm and a 1. For those who aren't familiar with what a BOLD 1 is, it's a 4 mm Paper Mate Profile. 6 millimeters or a one-thousandth of a millimeter 4 mm is a measurement. It refers to the width or thickness of a line drawn by the pen in question. The same can be said for 1. 0 mm, 0. 7 mm, 0. 5 mm, 0. 38 mm. br>br>The bore becomes wider as the size increases. As a result, there's no way to rule out the possibility of ink blotting, bleeding, or even streaking (these don't). This, however, is dependent on the type of paper you use, i. e. Whether it's rough, smooth, or glossy, it's all about the texture br>br>I used two different types of writing surfaces to show how the ink from the three brands appears (see photos). The first is a Japanese import paper MUJI Notebook (tan/beige color), and the second is a MEAD two-ring business notebook in bleached white. IMPRESSIONS: br>br> COLOR - COLOR - COLOR - COLOR - COLOR - COLOR - COLOR BIC brands get my vote for the most vibrant BOLD blue color. They outperform the Paper Mate Profile, which isn't to say that the PP isn't good. No. It's been my go-to option for quite some time now. Until now, I've used a pen to tell stories and write stories. br>br>FLOW - Flow is a word that has a lot of different meanings depending on who you ask. When it comes to writing fluidity. It's a very close call. With the Paper Mate Profile, I would give Atlantis a slight advantage over the other two. BIC Velocity is a close call. When they're going, they don't skip, stutter, or have a "scratchy feeling. " STAIN/BLOT: br>br> As I previously stated, this is where the "curse" in the midst of the blessing can be found. The greater the size of the ballpoint, the more likely it is to blotch. The paper mate is now at the number one position. Blotching is not an issue with 4 mm. As a result, I award that one to the PP brand. However, at a "considerable" 1. 6 mm . Something had to give (I'm sure PP would have gotten a 1. ) It would blotch in a 6 mm model as well). It's no longer as bad as it appears. This is only noticeable when Atlantis and Velocity make initial contact with the paper. It's easy sailing once you get started scribbling. RECOMMENDATION: Simply wipe the tip with a paper towel before writing to prevent this. If this is something that will bother you, I recommend sticking with the Paper Mate Profile, or going down a notch to Medium 1. Fine 0 mm or 0 mm Ballpoint pens with a diameter of 7 mm. The Atlantis - br>br> In comparison to Velocity, it appears to be the most blotch-prone. This one goes to Paper Mate Profile because it is the least prone. These come highly recommended. br>br> When it comes to making a decision, however, it will boil down to personal preferences. br>br>As I previously stated, I have included photographs (please excuse my sloppy handwriting). br>br>I hope this review was beneficial to you. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> 1/22/18br>When using the 1, the blotch is enough to be annoying. Pens with a diameter of 6mm on paper that is either very smooth or glossy. As a result, I'll go with Paper Mate Profile over the other two options. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> 04/14/17: br>I just purchased my third packet of Paper Mate Profile 1 sheets. RT pen with a diameter of 4 millimeters. That should tell you something about the quality of this pen. That's all there is to say on the subject.

There is no such thing as having too many pens
5/5

As a lefty, I can attest to the difficulty of locating a smooth-skinned individual. It's nearly impossible for me to write with a reliable pen that doesn't smear as I write. Unless you're willing to spend an arm and a leg on it. I am not one of them. These pens are available in three colors and are billed as the "World's Smoothest Pen. " And now that I've used them, I have to say that I agree! They write like gel, but without the smearing and at a fraction of the cost. Not to mention that they have an ergonomic grip that makes writing for long periods of time a breeze. br>Other Info: The order arrived on time, in good condition, with good packaging.

It's a good thing there are so many! These pens aren't very long lasting
4/5

Ink runs out in some pens in as little as 2 minutes. Only a few hours of note-taking per day (with an average amount of notes) for three days. Occasionally, a pen will appear to be out of ink, but after I disassemble it, reassemble it, and wait a few minutes, it will work again for a short time. Sometimes it's just a matter of waiting. Furthermore, the pen frequently appears to have at least 3/4 of its ink left but does not write, or it appears to be half full but does not work. This irritates and perplexes me. Otherwise, I like how the pens write and how comfortable they are to hold, though I wish the grips were a little softer and had a less concave shape.

These were gone in a flash! Update: With only light use, the ink on each of them ran out
3/5

Three stars have been reduced to two. br>br>I'm guessing these have been sitting in storage for quite some time because the box was dented around the edges. At first, they didn't write as if the ball had become stuck. To get the ink flowing, I took each pen out and vigorously drew in all directions. I've had one pen to test for about a month and it's fine; the three stars are for the box issue, knowing that these are older and wondering if the ink inside will last since I'm not using all of them every day. br>br>I like how thick the line is and how different it is from other pens in terms of color.

Great pens and a fantastic product
5/5

They always work and perform flawlessly, never leaking. I have a large number of very expensive pens and pen and pencil sets that I have received as gifts or purchased over the course of my many years of big-time law practice. None of the high-end brands compare to these, which I picked up after seeing them on the counters of my local bank. I only carry these pens with me, and it's not a big deal if I lose them along the way, which happens a lot.

abysmal quality How did Papermate end up in this situation? I've owned Papermate pens for longer than I care to remember, but these pens are awful! I've only used two of them so far, and both of them have caused me problems right away
3/5

They only function for a portion of a sentence before stopping! To get them to work again, you must scribble on paper! It's just terrible! I went to the store and purchased similar Bic pens for a similar price; sorry, Papermate, but you've lost a long-time customer. customer for the first time!.

Pens have a habit of failing to work
3/5

I feel compelled to write a review after picking up one of these pens for the umpteenth time and discovering it isn't working. 100% of them in the box of 2012 I purchased have stopped working at some time while still having plenty of ink in them with plenty of ink in them with plenty of It's possible that if I scribble for a few seconds, the ink will begin to flow once more. This is, however, a rare occurrence. When I'm on the phone or need to write something down quickly, and the pen won't work, I'm constantly frustrated. I've developed the habit of keeping several on hand at all times in case one fails, but I've discovered that most of the time, none of them do. It's time to throw in the towel and look for a new pen.
