The quality is abysmal

I purchased a Staedler starter set from the store, and the included leads lasted about two months with no breakage. I couldn't find replacement leads in the store when they ran out, so I ordered them online; it's been three weeks, and I've already gone through a whole pack of leads because they've been breaking so frequently. I don't believe it's a problem with my writing style because I've never had this problem with the pencil leads that came with it. I'm surprised at how easily these leads break for the price I paid for them, and I'm beginning to wonder if they're genuine Staedler products because they certainly don't meet their quality standards.

I can't use it because it's so brittle

SO EXTREMELY ANNOYING TO WRITE WITH! This lead does not appear to be genuine Staedtler. I can't even use it because it's so brittle. If you don't write with the lightest touch possible, I wouldn't recommend it.

It's not the same as it used to be! They've been a part of my life since I was a kid

This time, however, I noticed a significant decrease in quality! There are a lot of stiff, hard particles and sections. This is not a smooth ride. It easily breaks.
