The lead holders themselves are similar in appearance, but the colored tube allows you to color code the type of lead in the holder. This makes it very easy to distinguish between them.
I believe I was assigned 2H rather than H. I kept the 2H because I could use it as well, but ordered the H from Staedtler directly. I didn't contact Amazon about the discrepancy, but if you're looking for H leads, it might be worth it to be cautious!
This isn't for a monetary value of zero. Mechanical pencil, number nine. Thank you for reaching out to us.
Push up on the arrow below the "window" where the leads are visible with the label at the top. It should slide upward, exposing the leads on the opposite end (bottom). CAUTION: Your leads will fall out if you do this with the package held vertically. br>br>If the sliding cover is too stiff for you. Hold the package horizontally and press down on both the arrow and the "ridged" area at the other end with one hand. That ought to be sufficient.

If you're looking for a lead that's both light and hard, this is the one to go with. The 4H is a superior choice. The 2H, on the other hand, is fantastic - Less pressure will get you the results you're looking for in this case. They are fantastic.
These read pieces will last a long time, keep a sharp point for a long time, and are extremely light while still being dark enough to see. The only issue is that, like any other pencil, when the pencil marks are made with more force, it is difficult to erase. As a result, I recommend rough sketching with these and using an HB pencil to draw the darker lines before inking. This way, you won't have to use as much pressure to get darker lines, and erasing will be much easier.
I purchased the 4B lead to use as a shader in dark areas. The lead quality is excellent, and shipping was quick; however, the packaging is extremely difficult to open. The tab on the back of the plastic cover is extremely difficult to remove from the backing. It took my husband and me five minutes to get it to budge.
)br>Apart from that, for drafting and art work, I used 2mm leads in a pencil clutch. br>I used to have a lot of this brand back in the day.
The lead grade is printed on the side of the lead by Staedtler, ensuring that you don't get mixed up when switching between leads. Sharpening the lead to a fine point is possible. I highly recommend the 4H for roughing in drawings because mistakes are easily corrected.
Lead is of exceptional quality. I just don't think it's dark enough. For regular writing, I prefer the June Gold lead.
Although the leads were of good quality, mine arrived with the majority of them laying in the box and four leads missing in total. I also dislike the cartridge; opening and closing it is a chore.
2 hours ago, I placed an order. The tags were labeled incorrectly in the warehouse by someone. Mistakes are bound to occur. I gave it three stars because I am confident in the quality of the product.
