Pentel's 'B' leads are my favorite. Writing with a 'B' lead is smooth, comfortable, dark enough to read in a year, and, most importantly, they flow well from good mechanical pencils while 'biting' the lock mechanism (to avoid sliding backward in the lock). br>Unfortunately, 'B' (let alone '2B') leads are hard to come by in a big-name company. store in a box You won't find 'B' or '2B' leads anywhere other than a college bookstore or an arts center in most cases. a store that sells arts and crafts For those of us who do not live near a "mega-city," this is a problem. I just 'bulk-up' the city. On Amazon, you can buy 'B' leads. Pentel is the best and most reliable manufacturer of these fantastic writing leads!.

Please ignore the pen scribbles and doodles; they were left over from my previous review. I shaded in the drawings with lead, which was very smooth and didn't leave lead chunks all over the place. I'd recommend it! )br>br>An Amusing Story: br>I had one mechanical pencil and two broken pieces of lead for the entire week of finals: ) By holding the tiny piece of lead in my fingers and bubbling in the answers, I made it through the end of the week. I'm looking forward to putting these to good use! Hehe, they'll undoubtedly save me from that ordeal!.

I just like how these characters never let me down. I've been using them for decades and they never fail to deliver. Nobody is re-hired at Pentel. These leads are perfect, and they just keep churning them out and selling them at a reasonable price; I appreciate that, as well as their decades of attention to detail, quality, and commitment to consistently excellent product performance. It took me a while to get back into the swing of things as a college student after 30 years. This size is ideal for writing pages upon pages, in my opinion. It glides smoothly, has a good amount of darkness, and doesn't leave an etch on the paper. br>I had previously bought a. 05 pencil, but I quickly realized that it has a tendency to etch the paper, and the tone was lighter than I prefer. I'm glad I was able to find this size of pencil and refills.

The product is exactly what it says it is, and it comes in three plastic containers. Because each container holds a small amount of lead, don't expect it to be completely filled. The lead is of good quality; it is hard rather than soft, which is ideal for my sketching. I am pleased with my purchase, which arrived promptly in the mail.

I bought these for my 13-year-old grandson to use at school, and he likes them better than other products he's tried. They made me a happy grandmother, and I'm thinking about getting some for myself. They're certainly long-lasting, which is a big plus if you're going to use them every day.

These were purchased to go with my Pentel Sharps and have a nice dark print. These leads are also less likely to break, indicating that they are of good quality. It accommodates the way I usually write, which is at a steep angle.
