H stands for hard, and B stands for soft, as in 1B, 2B - a common school acronym. The higher the number, the softer the item. For example, 4B is usually very soft, and 9B is the softest.
Great products don't fade.
It's lead, and it's black (as in regular).
Because the lead is very soft and leaves a very legible impression, I like to use it to solve crossword puzzles. However, because it is soft, you must be careful not to put too much pressure on it, or it will easily break.

Smooth, smooth, smooth, dark, dark, dark, and doesn't crumble when I use it in my pencil. I'm so in love with this lead that I bought extra refills to make sure I always have some on hand. My Pentel Orenz has a score of 5 4B. It's a writer's dream come true.
This is a tricky container. Good, soft 5mm leads are ideal for solving Sudoku puzzles printed in inexpensive books. The softer lead won't tear the paper, and the thicker lines will be easier on my eyes. It took me a minute to get this thing open; the top rotates left and right to reveal the contents.
This is a fantastic beginning. It's dark, soft, and has a wonderful texture. It runs out quickly due to its softness, but it still works well. I use HB mechanical pencils for my drawings and needed something dark for drawing hair and shadows; this is perfect, and I don't like carrying a set of pencils that ranges from 4H to 4B. One HB mechanical pencil and one 4B mechanical pencil are all I need. This is an excellent option for minimalists like myself.
My notes from chemistry class were difficult to study because the lead in my pencil was too light, about 2H. Because we are not allowed to use pens for calculations, I decided to buy the darkest lead I could find for my mechanical pencil after some frustration. This is the first time I've come across this lead, and I'm completely smitten. br>At this point, my notes are very visible and easy to read. It almost looks like ink, and I'm annoyed that I didn't get it years ago. br>The only disadvantage is that erasing it can be difficult, and depending on the type of eraser and paper used, it may leave some residue on the paper. As a result, when it comes to scantrons, I'd advise being extremely cautious with your responses. Aside from that, I think you're fantastic!.
Seller was prompt in shipping and there were no issues. Unless you have a VERY specific use for 4B lead in a mechanical pencil, I don't think it makes sense. If you want something dark and saturated, 2B might be a better option. br>br>This lead wears out ridiculously quickly; I thought 4b pencils wore out quickly, but this is ridiculous. As a result, you never get a sharp point; instead, it mushes down into a medium or broad fountain pen line. It's fine for sketching with a light hand, and it erases well because it's not biting into the paper, but if you like thin, crisp lines, this stuff is a pain. br>br>And boy, does it ever break. It snaps like nothing if you give it more than one click. Which is also annoying because one click only lasts about two sentences. This lead is a pain in my Rotring 800. Returning to a 2B or HB position. br>br>To cut a long story short, my two stars are not a reflection of the lead's quality. I'm mostly to blame for not considering how soft and breakable 4b mechanical pencil lead would be. This would be fine for sketching, which is kind of the point of 4b lead in the first place, but avoid using it in math and chemistry classes on a regular basis.
This lead is extremely lightweight, durable, and erasable. It's ideal for doodles and outlines. If you're looking for lead to write with, this isn't the one for you (unless you want it to appear very light on paper). I bought it to use as a sketchbook and I absolutely adore it. I don't worry about erase marks showing up, and it's a great tool for sketching out an outline before diving into the details.
This is exactly what I've been looking for in a lead guitar. Soft. Flexible. Dark. It's as if it's melted into the background of the page. 0 is one of my favorites. 5 lead. As a result, writing in thin but dark lines is fantastic. The only disadvantage is how quickly it depletes. However, when purchasing a soft dark lead, this is to be expected.
I'm an engineering student, and despite the fact that I have to write a lot of small notes, I always struggle to get a good dark line on the page without snapping the lead. I bought this lead to go with a new Graph Gear I recently purchased, and I absolutely love it! Lead wears out quickly, which is to be expected, but I won't have to squint any longer! Your lines will be a little thicker than your hb. 05, which isn't too difficult to get used to.
