I ordered the Zebra Mildliners a while back (using text from my inkjet printer). They were not, however, as transparent as I had hoped. Since then, I've been using the Stabilo Boss pastel highlighters, which I really like. A photo comparison has been attached.
Even after 2 months of constant studying 3x/week, *12- I've developed the habit of quickly blotting it with my finger to pick up the excess ink before it dries darker than the rest of the line My fingers are never visibly colored from all the ink they've booted up, and the ink tips aren't even close to dry after 15 hours of nonstop studying,* continuous use, and constant blotting with my fingers. I study and highlight as if it were going to save the world from a zombie apocalypse, and these highlighters have far exceeded my expectations!.
Colors are fantastic! The highlighter is a decent size. They were packaged in a plastic bag that could be used to store them. If I'm not careful, it can bleed through the pages of my Leuchtturm1917 notebook.
However, because the pink and peach colors are so similar, I'm a little disappointed with these pastel colors. Also, I'm not sure why there's always a smudge at the end of each stroke, a darker area where there was pooled ink flow that looks much darker than the rest, causing bleeding on my Leuchtrum1917 notebook paper. This isn't a problem when I'm teaching, planning lessons, or correcting homework or tests; however, it's not so nice in my bulllet journal, where I prefer things to be a little neater. I had hoped to use these for all of my work, but my bullet journal will have to make do with my Mildliner highlighters.
Until I reached for the purple one, which has no nib at all! It just fell off, and I'm sure most other places would be able to assist, but I'm unable to return or replace it. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. I was having a lot of fun with these pastel markers until I got a bad set, and Imrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I was disappointed that the wallet arrived soiled, as if it had been dropped on the warehouse floor and rubbed in dirt: /br>br>However, the highlighters themselves arrived in good condition, with vibrant colors. I compared them to the original stabilos and the zebra mildliners. br>br>On regular lined notebook paper, they bleed through a little, but not on heavier paper. My paper mate flair tip pens were not smeared at all.
Nine of the fifteen have dried up and are no longer useful. Even more incredible is the fact that all of the GOOD colors have dried! Of course, the skin peach one is fantastic, but I'd prefer some electric blue and fiery purple. I've circled the ones that can't be used with an "x. " It's entirely up to you to decide! br>br>I had high hopes for a higher-end highlighter set. Working actually adds more meaning to your life. Instead, my desk is covered in a rainbow of sadness. Every day serves as a reminder of how things might have turned out differently. What a vibrant piece of work that could've been! Everything is better with a splash of hot pink! br>br> I ordered them in October but haven't tried to use them yet - It was entirely my fault! I should have tested them as soon as I got them, but I didn't. My return window has closed, so I'm stuck with a lovely set of highlighters that look great on my desk but don't do the job they were designed to do. One. Job. One. br>br>I bought the set brand new, and I guess I got a dud. Take note of my blunder - When they arrive, give them a thorough inspection and make a list of everything that needs to be done. br>br>Now, I'm not normally a stupid person, but I've gone and done something stupid with this - I not only failed to test my highlighters for about two and a half months, but I also ordered another set as a gift in December (before I realized mine were faulty!)! As if it were a physical present. This isn't a joke grab bag or a white elephant present. Oh. No. A gift with a name tag that I proudly signed! With my real name on the line! I'm hoping that set will be useful to my recipient - If they're dried out as well, I'll be mortified. Who wants to be known as The Dried Out Marker Gifter? Not me! At a later time, I will update and claim any relevant titles.
They work just like a regular Stabilo highlighter, with the exception that they come in beautiful pastel tones. They are fantastic!.
