The packaging was fine, but I noticed that the product was not sealed; there's a small circle in the photo that should be sealed to another piece of plastic underneath if it's brand new. It wasn't sealed, and two of the cops had chunks of their bodies missing. The missing pieces of plastic from the Caps aren't in the highlighter package or the shipping package, implying that they were manually placed into this already broken highlighter package.
I bought these for college and kept them in a basket for a few weeks. When I took them out, the blue was already dry when I tried to use it. The orange began to dry up after a few swipes. br>br>Within 10 minutes of using them, two of the six colors are dead, and I haven't even started on the others. I'm not going to buy any more of these. br>br>I've seen other people's reviews stating the same problem, so it's possible they're having a quality control problem.
My favorite brand's price and quantity were too appealing to ignore. The colors are vibrant and the text is simple to read. Students are already using it, and they will buy it again if they need it! The colored packs make our writing and reading lessons more meaningful because students understand that the colors can represent perspectives, parts of speech, sentence structure, and editing tasks. The kids adore the bright colors, and it's always a big hit in class when I bring out the plastic box! Thank you, Sharpie, for creating student-friendly products that are also affordable!.
If you use lighter bond paper, the color will bleed through to the other side, and on the lightest weight paper, it will even bleed through to the next page. That's something to keep in mind before you go in. Because I prefer heavier bond paper for printing and writing, I don't have nearly as much bleed through as some people claim. Overall, I like the Sharpies and would recommend them to others because they do not smear my ink jet printed pages or my pen ink, so they are perfect for me.
The colors are vibrant and attractive, and the cost is reasonable. However, I was looking for highlighters that wouldn't bleed through regular printing paper and wouldn't show up on the other side; unfortunately, these Sharpies do just that - they show up on both sides. Even the lightest highlighter colors, such as neon yellow, leak through the paper and leave very visible spots on the opposite side of the page. Because I'm using these highlighters with a study book, having spots bleed through from the previous page is extremely inconvenient.
Except for the blues, which I ordered ten packs of to give one to each of my high school students (for being the "highlight" of my year) before summer, so there were ten chances for them to be okay, but Every. Single. The blue marker had dried up to the point where it could hardly be used. The other colors are fantastic, but each and every blue one is completely devoid of moisture. I hate handing these out to my students, but they'll have to suffice. I should've read the other reviews before making my decision.
Every color, with the exception of yellow, bleeds horribly through any page. I can't use any other color without wreaking havoc on my notebooks and textbooks.
I frequently use highlighters at work, so I need something durable and thick. I like the thickness, but they don't last long; I've only had them for about two months, and two of them are already dry to the bone. Sure, I was disappointed.
