Mexico is the country of origin of these folders. My filing folders are expandable, and I like them for their size and functionality.
It is not familiar to me what a "tyvek" is. It appears that they are conventional cardboard folders and work very well without emitting an Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Dupont might be a good place to start.
I highly recommend these expanding files because they are of high quality and worth the money. A lot of them are used by us.

Option that is lower in price and is fine for moderate use, but will definitely not stand up to excessive fillings and/or long-lasting use It is a term of It doesn't have very strong seams. It's all great! These files would be fine for a "kid school papers" project, but they would not be appropriate for a professional project.
The corners on this brand are not smooth it is not as well made as the leading brand. In order to straighten up them that are glued askew, you have to crack the paper like it's tearing Tabs are bent on a number of them. Shipping boxes of 25 are flimsy and do not fit securely in one place. My preference will be to go back to the previous brand of 50 count boxes that are shipped (and can be stored) in heavy duty packaging.
