The quality of Avery products has always been exceptional, regardless of the labeling project I was working on, from large overhauls of over 1500 file folders to large mass mailings of nearly 2500 envelopes labeled by hand. Avery products are the best Although the products are rather pricey, I was okay with the cost as long as the quality remained. However, with my recent renovation, I was extremely disappointed with the products. The labels were purchased as I always do, choosing permanent labels (instead of removable ones as I know this was a common comment or question when I expressed my dissatisfaction with this file label product) to ensure that none would fall off or catch on other files Although the labels did not function as I had hoped, they did function, and this is an understatement, just like temporary and/or removable labels sold at the time. It did not stick at all, so I have been pressing the labels down to adhere to the file folder constantly and have had to replace over 50 so far, as they were caught on other file folders and torn away. In terms of the performance of both the Office Depot and Staples brand labels, I have never encountered a single problem. It seems that quality control is not working here - Avery, please correct this. You do not deserve to be paid for your products if they do not work well and specifically if they need to be replaced repeatedly.
The office has a large number of unused folders that still have a great deal of use left in them. In order to cover up the old name of the files, I bought these labels instead of tossing them away. It's really weird that Avery no longer integrates with Word (you used to be able to load a label template into Word for printing), so now you have to go to their site and design your label online (really weird) before downloading it or printing it.
