This product piqued my interest so much that the first time I used it, I nearly burned down my house. The tea light candle had been burning for a while before my 16-year-old daughter and I noticed it had caught the wood (one of the items for the creation was to use fire on and with). I'm not sure why, but the wood choices are of poor quality, but this product is aesthetically pleasing. If you decide to buy something, proceed with caution.
You'd think that something made of wood and metal, depending on the quality of the metal, wouldn't break or bend, but the spoon was not only broken from its handle, but it was also slightly bent. The base appears to be in perfect condition, which is unfortunate because now I have to figure out where I can get just the spoon.
It's impossible for the wax seal pourer to get hot because it's too far away from the flame. I used a standard votive and discovered that it took a long time for my wax to heat up. That is the only flaw I've discovered so far.
The intention was for this to be a gift. It had scratches and finger prints all over it when it arrived. I was a little let down.
It functions perfectly, though the heat caused the wood to warp slightly.
This holder for wax handles is fantastic! I purchased it in order to make wax sealing easier - It has, in fact! I don't have to wait for the wax to melt by holding the handle over the flame.
