Although the answer is most likely no, could I just get the stamp head? I'm on the verge of purchasing one with a detachable handle, but it appears to be a waste.?

Yes, I've done it on a number of occasions. The delivery of mail was not halted by Seal; in fact, it was accelerated. Due to the weight change, neither the price of the stamp nor the price of the stamp has increased.

Isn't it true that this doesn't bleed through envelopes and onto the invitation?

I suppose it is dependent on the type of wax used. I purchased small hexagon wax beads specifically for stamping from Amazon, and they worked perfectly on my wedding invitations. The stamp is well-made, and the imprint is excellent!
