As the candle flame burns, the soot from the flame collects on the spoon, giving it a blackened appearance. It's perfectly natural. To prevent the collected soot from continuing to burn, clean the spoon after each use.
I don't use it in regular envelopes, but I have used it in cardboard envelopes.
A marble coaster or baker's parchment paper could be used. A marble coaster is what I use, and it works great. There are no stockings.

What a creative way to add some flair to a letter! One stamp can be made with three wax nuggets. Two wasn't quite enough (as you can see in the photo). After each stamp, I wiped the spoon clean. I simply melted different colors without mixing them together to make a multicolored stamp. br>Because it is made of wood, the candle/spoon holder gets hot. I'm not surprised one reviewer said theirs caught fire; I only did three stamps and wouldn't be comfortable doing a whole stack of letters or walking away without blowing out the candle and allowing everything to cool down. While I cleaned the spoon, I left the stamp in place for about a minute. I never pressed the stamp into the wax with a lot of force. It's heavy enough to fall into the wax and leave an excellent impression. br>I tried peeling the wax off the paper, but it wouldn't budge, so I'm confident it'll get through the mail just fine. br>The color assortment is so much fun, and I can't wait to get more stamps from my local HL. br>If you found this useful, please give it a thumbs up.
As you can see from the photos, the place was on fire! Keep a close eye on it if you plan to use it. (Bearing in mind that I was sitting right next to it when it caught fire, I was able to quickly extinguish it without causing any damage to my property. ) Just in case, don't use this on top of any wood. br>br>The wax is fantastic; you get a lot of product for your money. The seal is attractive, and it lends itself well to wax designs. It's a pity it's getting warmer. It's preferable to use a regular tea light without the warmer. br>br>I understand it's an open flame; I'm aware of that. However, the product should not have caught fire so easily. In my opinion, something that is designed to be literally surrounded by an open flame should not catch fire.
Everything works fine, with the exception of the warmer, which is made of such poor quality that the adhesive holding the metal plate to the wooden base is leaking down the interior. I'm not sure if this is a fire hazard, because I just hold the melting spoon directly over the candle and rest it on the warmer. Having said that, everything is perfectly acceptable for the price, similar to a Little Caesar's Pizza. It won't be spectacular, but it'll be tasty and affordable.
This purchase has made me very happy! This is something I bought for my kids and me to use to dress up our letters. br>br>The ALMOST gave this purchase four rather than five stars - It takes a LONG TIME for the pens to dry on their own. To get them completely dry, we had to use a blow dryer. No worries if you put the pens down and forget about them for a while, but don't use them if you're in a rush. Apart from that, it's a great buy, and you get a lot for your money!br>br>I wish the kit came with instructions, but the product listing provided me with the information I needed about how many wax melts to use. The wax quickly hardens once the stamp is in place.
This set was purchased for my son and me to begin writing pen pal letters. It's incredibly simple to use and a lot of fun. Pouring for children should be done by a parent or older sibling. My 6-year-old son asked for my assistance in pouring out the wax, but he was guided by the fact that my hands were shaking. It includes a tree stamp that is well-weighted and makes an excellent impression. When you mix the colors, they become vibrant and beautiful. They give the impression of marble. It was well worth the money.
For the price, this is an excellent set; the wax melts beautifully, and the spoon performs admirably. The envelopes are lovely, but they aren't likely to be used for mailing. They're thick and heavy. The edges of the stamps are a little jagged, but I already had a few. My only wish is for the beads to be less pearly, as this makes the stamp more difficult to see. This purchase has exceeded my expectations in every way.
This has been very useful for my daughter and me. Writing letters and sealing them with wax has been a lot of fun for us. We began with three wax balls and gradually reduced to two. Using 3 will leave a nice ring around your stamp, while using 2 will just get the design and no ring, so it all depends on your desired look. This was incredibly simple to work with. I would strongly suggest it.
For a long time, I've wanted to get a letter seal, and this seal and wax set was just what I needed to get started. I had a lot of fun experimenting with different wax colors and pressing the seal into it. All I have to do now is begin writing letters.
