Questions & Answers

I'm looking for a pair of scissors to help me de-clutter my house. chickens with no bones Would these be able to cut through a leg of chicken? Do they appear to be suitable for consumption? safe?

Despite the fact that the scissors are sturdy and well-made, I doubt you will be able to cut through a chicken leg with them. It was the first time I tried it. However, they are not harmful to humans or animals.

Will these be able to cut through a 3/8-inch thick piece of wood? What is the size of the rug pad in inches?

Yes, these scissors can cut 3/8 inch rug pads, soda cans, and a variety of other materials.

I'm looking for scissors so that I can recycle all of my empty Amazon boxes. Is this going to suffice? Thanks! ?

I bought them for my business, specifically to cut up boxes, and I still use them. They do the job, but I find myself reaching for my box cutter more frequently. Because boxes quickly dull a blade, I recommend investing in a good box cutter with interchangeable blades.

Will these be able to shave thin balsa wood for craft projects?

These scissors are made for industrial use and are extremely durable. Cutting balsa wood shouldn't be a problem for you.

By putting non-essential items out of service, planned obsolescence is achieved
3/5

Stainless steel in a critical location: the connective tissue For a while, the Titan kitchen shears were fine, but they became increasingly STIFF as time went on. These are shears that, unlike many similar products, cannot be separated into two parts for cleaning. I assumed the place was simply becoming filthy. When a small plastic cover fell off today, I discovered what the real issue was: Titan concealed a corrodible connector behind a plastic cover at the pivot point of the shears. Aside from that, the product is made of high-quality stainless steel and retains its edge well. But I despise buying and rebuying the same shoddy product or one that is designed to fail prematurely, resulting in landfills in our country. I don't think it's a good idea to keep the designed-in features hidden. Under a plastic cover, there is a flaw in the product.

In less than a year, the relationship crumbled
3/5

Scissors were excellent, extremely sharp, and appeared to be of heavy duty construction. before I even started cutting anything, they simply disintegrated in my hands. I only had them for 11 months, so they didn't last a full year. br>br>I'm trying to reach out to the manufacturer right now to see if the "lifetime guarantee" is actually worth anything. If they follow through on it, I'll update my review.

After 11 months, the pin/screw that held the blades together broke
3/5

On July 28, 2013, I bought this pair of scissor. I found their "heavy duty" claims to be very true, and I loved these scissors for it; however, after just over 11 months of daily use, they broke tonight, June 19, 2014. I would clean the scissors with warm mild soapy water when they became dirty after a period of heavy use. When they broke tonight, I examined the pieces very carefully. Both blades are in perfect condition and have never been damaged. The blades are said to be rust-resistant on the sales page, but the connecting pin/screw isn't. It appears to have fully rusted, and as a result, it broke tonight in normal heavy-duty use. Avoid getting the scissors wet, or if you do, make sure they're completely dry before storing them (which can be difficult due to the internal contact points where the pin secures both halves). Perhaps lubricating the scissors at the joint once a month or so would be beneficial? The retaining pin broke, according to two other reviewers, one after one month and the other after three months. My pair, at the very least, lasted nearly a year.

A hand cruncher is a device that allows you to crunch your hands together
3/5

Purchase is not recommended. Despite the fact that these scissors appear to be of good quality, they crunch my hand; I'm a small female with small hands, so I can't imagine how these would fit a man's hand; there was no way to contact the seller, so I guess I'm stuck with them. No one should buy these, in my opinion. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>br>After only a few months of use in the home, these went bad. I'm now on Amazon purchasing a new pair that is still holding up.

This is a razor-sharp blade that never loses its edge
5/5

I purchased these scissors a few months ago and have been using them on a regular basis since then. Wow, these are the most razor-sharp scissors I've ever bought. They arrived razor-sharp and have sliced through everything I've tried them on (rugs, papers, cardboard, duct tape, and so on). I'm very pleased with my purchase. A workhorse scissor that is strong, sharp, and long-lasting
5/5

I've kept this scissor in every place where a pair of scissors might be useful over the years because it's the most dependable, rust-free, and well-balanced pair I've found. A pair now resides in the car toolkit, the kitchen, the garage, my desk, and the hallway package, among other places. The entryway, the bathroom, and my personal toolkit (along with the 5-piece set of tools) My personal drop-in pair is an inch and a half. kit). These scissors don't waste my time, they don't irritate me or my husband—who just exclaimed over the newest addition—and they always make a clean cut.

The Story of Two Scissors is a story about two scissors
4/5

I was fed up with having useless kitchen scissors. I did some research and placed orders for two different pairs at the same time. The Titan Elite Heavy Duty Industrial Scissor (Amazon ASIN: Item model number: B0046EBW1C, B0046EBW1C, B0046EBW1C, B0046EB D50004) at a cost of $12. 89, as well as the Kitchenaid Soft Grip Classic Shears. They arrived together in the same Amazon package. I'm a big guy with a big hand. I don't eat meat on a regular basis. These would be used to cut thick flower stems, open other packages, cut carpet, cardboard, zip ties, wire ties, and other items for my purposes. br>br>First impressions: br>br>Of the two, the Titan Elite is the more powerful. in case anyone is interested - When cutting, it's precise enough to cut paper and thin plastic without leaving a "nib" or break at the end of the cut - a completely unblemished cut It's a little "sticky" in terms of cutting motion. If you're going to be cutting meat bones on a regular basis, I'd recommend the Titan for long-term durability, but you won't notice the difference unless you're in a situation where you're cutting them all the time. If I had to choose between the Titan and the Kitchen-Italian, I would choose the Titan. (See below for more information). An aside: The Titan Elites are not overly packaged, and you can easily access them. In terms of blade action, there is no stickiness. To steer the nose of it, it seemed a * little * more nimble. Except for the most important jobs, these will almost certainly be my first choice. Also available for $8. They're a third of the price of Titan Elites, at 41. br>br>ONE MINUTE RANT ABOUT THE KITCHEN AID: They have the most nefarious packaging (heavy duty, stamp-like) of any company. clear plastic that has been sealed or fused, cardstock, and zip ties). Normally, I would be able to ignore this, but not this time. To open the Kitchen Aid package, I had to rely on my Titan Elites! Even then, it was a battle. That was a five-minute waste of time for me. Kind regards, Kitchen Aid: Stop putting these scissors in so many different packages! You're not constructing a fortress or the Maginot Line! - RANT OVER! Let people see your product! SUMMARY: br>br> They are both excellent and reasonably priced. I prefer the Kitchen Aid, but both will be kept and used. Based on what I've seen, I'd say they have 5 to 6 stars. For my needs, I need a 7-year durability. I don't mind at all. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I've realized that I much prefer working in the kitchen. The Titans will benefit from your assistance with scissors. The Titan scissors were relegated to a tool wall in my basement (where they aren't used on a daily basis), and I bought two more Kitchen-Aid scissors. Aid - They're really good. I've found that the one I keep near the washer/dryer is precise enough to cut loose threads while also being strong enough to cut thick cardboard.
