Because the planner has a few flaws, I only gave it three stars. I've used the planner for several years and am familiar with it. The main problem I have with the planner is all of the early pages that are useless to me (maps, conversion tables, time zones, global holidays, etc. ). Perhaps they will be useful to others. The great thing about the planner is that it has a week on the left side that is actually useful. You also get a blank page on the right for self-reminders, to-do lists, and other work-related details. Obviously, the fact that it spans 18 months is a huge plus, especially for academic purposes. It also helps that it begins in July, which is ideal for my needs. The pages are of acceptable quality; nothing exceptional. It's also nothing to be proud of. When the planner arrived, it was a little battered. It had a significant crease on the top that affected all of the planner's pages. As a result, exercise caution when dealing with the vendor.
This pocket-sized planner has a love/hate relationship with me.
Love: 18 months for planning, enough space to write appointment details, ribbon book mark is a plus, fits well in my purse and is red so I can find it easily in the muddle, elastic band to hold entire book shut saves erroneous items from getting between pages, year at a glance pages are helpful, room for notes, addresses, etc. br>Hate: Hundreds of pages I don't need, such as maps, make the book too thick. The current format has the entire week on one side and blank lines on the opposite side, similar to notebook paper! For Mon-Fri, I prefer the old format with the left side. Wednesday, and the right side for Thursday- At the bottom of the page, the Sun and Sat are smaller.
With my poor memory, going up isn't such a bad idea). Normally, I would choose a planner with art from a favorite museum, but this year I went with the Moleskine. I'd heard good things about their journals, so I expected the planner to be just as good. br>It's only been a few days, but I'm really happy with it. There is ample space for appointments and notes, as well as additional information such as time zones and holidays. It's a little bigger than I expected, but I'll be able to fit it in my purse or tote. It also has a pocket in the back to store whatever you want, just like other Moleskine products. My journals are jam-packed with photos, postcards, and gifts made by my young daughter.
I've been a long-time user of Moleskine planners. Although I prefer soft covers, they are very durable and last for the entire time period for which they were designed. I write in them with a variety of pens and pencils, and the paper is fine for everyday use. There isn't much bleedthrough, but it depends on your pen and the ink you use. This is my favorite size, and I'll keep buying it.
The only suggestion I have is to READ and double-check that this is the correct size planner for you. Because I misread the product description, I was taken aback by the size of the planner. However, after some consideration, I've come to the conclusion that this size is exactly what I require. I recently retired and no longer require a larger planner. Furthermore, it is small enough to fit in my purse. It's about the size of an index card, but it's large enough to read and write on.
This planner has a July 2021 expiration date on it. Despite the dates on the Amazon image being contradictory, December 2022 is the target date. On the actual label, the correct dates are written). br>br>The paper is of good quality, though it is not particularly thick or heavy. I usually go with a value of 0. 3, 0. 38, or 0. There has been no noticeable ghosting or bleeding with five gel pens (mostly Muji, Zebra Sarasa, and Pentel Energel). br>br>The lines (like the lines on the ruled pages) aren't too dark, thick, or distracting, which I appreciate. br>br>Even with the soft cover, I was pleasantly surprised by the planner's durability.
It's small enough to fit in my purse. On each page, I show one week at a time, followed by a blank lined page for notes. It comes in a variety of colors and includes a small "envelope" for safely storing doctor appointment cards, etc. My purses are small and dark. I wouldn't be able to find it in the dark interior if it was only available in black. Red, pink, orange, blue, and green have all been present in my life. br>It's well-organized, with enough room for a day's worth of information in each entry, and an extra page for addresses and phone numbers for the week's appointments, as well as personal reminders. This calendar appeals to me. It used to be available at a variety of art stores, the University of Washington Bookstore, and local stationers, but it is no longer available. Now I order it from the comfort of my own home.
It's a beautiful planner, to be honest. However, I purchased this with the intent of using it right away. May 1st, 2021 is the current date. And the planner doesn't begin until the 28th of June. To say the least, I'm disappointed; what kind of planner begins in the middle of the year?.
