Big knobs let you fold the stand easily so that you can carry it in your bag. The stands look cheap (and are cheap) but function well for the price. Tablets up to 10" can be supported by the stand. In portrait mode it is too wide to be used with a 7" tablet (e. g. when reading a book). A tablet that is 8" in size also seems too small in portrait mode, unless it is in In landscape mode (for instance, to watch videos), the stand works fine for smaller tablets.
