No, they're too short, and they don't keep my binders in place very well. They're perfect for books of any size.
It does, after all, come with soft mats to protect your countertop.
They won't work unless they're wet. Yes, I believe the bookends would rust if they were to be used on a boat in the middle of the ocean, but I doubt this will happen. If you're worried about moisture, I'd recommend coating them with whatever material you'd use to coat a metal that's been exposed to it.

These were chosen for my son's new bookshelf entirely on the basis of design. I wasn't sure what to expect because they didn't have many (possibly any) reviews, and when they arrived, I was concerned about how light they were. My son, on the other hand, liked the look, so we hung them and stacked a stack of adult-sized hardback books between them. They worked well together and did an excellent job.
A protective felt bottom is included with these bookends. They appear to be capable of supporting taller items. Between the two pieces, there is a "space" where you could put a picture or other item. I like how the backs of the bookends aren't protruding and taking up shelf space.
Solid quality and sophisticated pair of book ends for a decent price. In my smaller spaces, this is more effective. My only problem is that the edges are quite sharp and can easily cut you if you brush up against them, so I'm trying to figure out whether I can smooth it out with sandpaper or soften it with some kind of filler varnish or clear nail polish.
These will look great on my new bookshelves. Because the wall behind my black book shelves is a dark gray, I spray painted them (I got spray paint from Home Depot). I really wanted these bookends to stand out. They're getting a lot more attention now, and I've already gotten a lot of compliments on how unique they look.
These book ends have a nice style, but I wish they were a little heavier. Overall, this was a good purchase with good value.
They appear to be professionals, but they are not. My bulky coding books don't fit in it. If I move one book, the others will fall over.
I've been reading for 15 hours and haven't moved. They have a felt bottom, which I like because it doesn't scratch the top of the dresser.
I've had them for quite some time now, and they're fantastic.
