I needed bookends that could support some very large, heavy books. academic books that are mind-numbingly dull. I also required bookends that were as dull as the books they supported: It should be painted in neutral, unremarkable colors and should not take up any shelf space. Those requirements are met by these Jekkis bookends. They are tall, have a large surface for books to rest on, and provide "ballast" to the stands, allowing them to hold up large books with ease. They're also about as inconspicuous as a bookend gets. They give the impression that their owner has given up on life with their slim profile and muted palette; perfectly functional with no flair, I would highly recommend them if I wasn't so apathetic.
These are simple, practical household items that are difficult to get excited about. However, I have some heavy books that these braces will most likely keep secure and upright. The proportions are ideal. 8” x 5. 3” x4- In other words, they shouldn't be too short; other bookends I've had before have-- In black, it's unattractive- have sagged and buckled I don't think these are going to fold on me. I have no regrets about purchasing them.
it is useful The lightweight metal L's are kept from sliding away by the rubber pads (and the weight of the books on top of them, of course), and the books are kept stable by the metal L's. The paint is of good quality, so they will look good if they are noticed. When I was placing my order, I wished there was a way to get all of the pairs in the same color. Following the receipt of the Using them, I believe they blend in so well that it is unlikely to be noticed unless you are particularly sensitive to such things. If a single color option were available, I would not pay a premium for it.
Do you have any tall books on your shelves that are slipping or falling off? The issue will be resolved as a result of these actions. Atlases, reference books, ring binders, photo albums, and oversized specialty books are among the many items in my library. There are three reasons why these bookends are ideal. 1) They are tall enough to hold large books; 2) the bottom part of the bookend where books rest long enough to put enough weight on it to keep it from sliding or toppling; 3) The neutral colors and straightforward design work well in any setting. br>br>Take a look at my photo to see how they arrived in perfect condition and with minimal packaging. To avoid scratching, each pair was wrapped in a plastic sleeve. The other image depicts a bookend in front of a ten-foot tall bookcase. book with a height of one inch br>br>I looked at a lot of different bookends. These have made my day!.
These bookends are almost invisible on my shelves, which suits me fine; they come in four different colors (not what I would have chosen) - I wanted everything to be black, but the only way to get it was to buy eight sets, which is far more than I require. The alternative is to locate my black spray paint can. I'm sure it's somewhere around here. These book ends will last for a long time, and I can bolt them to the shelves if necessary. Because my library is not open to the public and there are no children to disrupt the arrangement, I don't believe such drastic measures will be required. There was no color choice unless you bought a ridiculously large quantity of book ends, so I gave it a 4 star rating.
These are for our travel trailer, so I bought them. Clothing such as shorts, pants, tops, and other items are rolled and stacked by type in upper cabinets using bookends. They're visible and stay put, so you won't have to look for something specific. We are extremely happy with the results.
This is fantastic. My large cookbooks, as you can see, are well-supported. I place them next to each other so that when I remove one, the others remain supported and upright. This is effective. A long-standing issue has been solved. I'm in ecstasy right now.
Three of the four pairs I received had minor scratches on them from being hung to dry after being spray painted, which I assume was the case. One had already appeared to be rusting. Two of the six scratched pieces had minor scratches elsewhere on them as well.
