I purchased these bookends in black and found them to be of good quality, aesthetically pleasing, but a little on the light side. They look great, and the metal feels solid and doesn't flex much, even when balancing a stack of books that are slightly tilted. The disadvantage is that, like many bookends with an L-shape, they are on the light side. To stay upright, the design relies on the weight of books pushing down on the base. This means that if you only have a few books, these bookends are likely to fall over. For that application, cross base bookends are more stable, but they have a larger base footprint. The rubber pads on the bottom of the bookends keep the metal from scratching the underlying surfaces, but they don't have much grip, so they don't really help with transverse movement. I haven't used these in a long time, so I can't say how long they last. They don't appear to be likely to break down physically (the metal appears to be quite strong), and the finish appears to be quite good - After moving these bookends from one location to another, there were no visible scuffs or blemishes. All- All in all, a good investment. Last but not least, this exact bookend appears to be sold by a number of different vendors. I'm not sure about the quality differences, but you can save a few bucks by doing a reverse image search on the item photos.
These appear to be of good quality and are well worth the money I paid for them-- TWO sets are required. They're doing exactly what I asked of them: hold a stack of library books (hard copy) that would otherwise be piled on my desk without giving my study an institutional appearance. They don't appear to be in the least bit cheap or cheesy. The end result appears to be good. They don't appear to be warping in any way. br>br>However, it turns out that the ugly base that protrudes from the lightweight metallic bookends found in public and school libraries has a purpose. The more books you try to gather, the more you'll need that unsightly jutting-out support. I'm sure there's a name for this piece. The main point is that When I tried to use these to hold up a longer (or wider) row of books, the books spilled over and the rest of them leaned when I removed one. When I attempted to prop up the books with my heavy stone bookends, the same thing happened. It's a matter of physics, after all. There isn't a problem with these bookends in and of themselves.
I have a filing cabinet with inch binders on top of it. My husband suggested I get book ends to keep them up when we moved into our new office (yes, a "duh" moment), so I looked around for some that were budget friendly but not ugly. These are beautiful, and they easily hold all of my binders. I'm going to buy another set for the binders on my credenza because they've worked out so well. It's refreshing to come across a business that takes pride in its work and product!.
I've lost count of how many times I've reordered these bookends that look like they were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. These might be necessary if you're a bibliophile who lives in a craftsman-style home. You'll definitely need these if you're a homeschooling mom. They're strong enough to withstand the chaos of a large family library, and their smooth edges protect little hands from haphazardly grabbing books from shelves. Also included is a business card holder that is perfect for holding a cell phone during a zoom call or video. Love it!.
the non- The ability to slip. These are probably the most beautiful bookends I've seen in a long time - Also, it came with two sets, so I have one for my cookbooks and the other for whatever else I want to read. When I need more, I will definitely purchase these. Friends who came by and saw my cookbooks on my island with these bookends have already given me a few compliments.
Along with the bookends, this company included a small wire mesh business card holder, which is perfect for resting my iPhone 13 Pro Max on my desk. I didn't have any business cards, so I put it to good use. If you're on the lookout for a low-cost light fixture, look no further. These duty bookends are a fantastic choice!.
I only made one change: I drilled a hole in the lower support for a screw to secure the bookend against the weight of the 3" binders. They're great because they don't take up as much shelf space as others with a tab that extends from the bottom.
These are fantastic bookends! I didn't have high expectations based on the product's simplicity. These bookends, on the other hand, have pleasantly surprised me in terms of both quality and elegance. They were purchased to go in my Multimedia Cabinet. The bookend(s) are exactly as described in terms of size and quality. br>br>Additional Information: I had no idea my purchase (4-pack) had been made until it was too late. A business card holder was included in the pack. Of course, now that I look at the seller's item description, I see 1 (one) card holder is included, which is a pleasant surprise. Whether with or without the card holder, this product is well worth the money.
