Would anybody know how big the holes are where the posts are inserted?

There are no instructions on how to use this. There are many types of binders, such as this one. If you need to punch two holes in the bottom (or top, depending on how you want to use the paper), you can use any letter-sized paper.

This binder can secure papers of varying thickness, but what was the maximum thickness it could handle? There is a need for an application that can protect the invoice copies over time. ?

Purchasing this item was the best purchase I have ever made. As far as thickness goes, it will be a little over 7/8 of an inch, or maybe even more, since I will be using it. Posts are constructed so that another set of posts can be screwed into the present posts if they need to be made

Is it able to hold the number of sheets of paper it claims? A good example is this Do you want to be 25, 50, 800, or ?

As far as I can tell, it has segmented posts that are capable of holding a few hundred sheets.

There's a feeling of being unable to grip the paper as the thickness increases

We had a first one that lasted 4 years when the cover came off while it was locked. This was followed by a year of service from the second, and a period of 4 weeks from the third before the cover came off in the locked position again. If you keep a binder with more than 1/2" of paper thickness, your paper will begin to loosen. In other words, the grip becomes weaker as the paper thickness.
