It is just the right size to hold all of her workbooks and papers. The portfolio also doubles as a working portfolio that will be easy to incorporate into end of year reviews. The binder has both a handle and a hand strap so that she can carry it around since she is a homeschooler but we are not always at home when we are teaching. All the toys and small items kids need to carry around fit into all of the pockets in their boots and backpacks. There is a zipper that is smooth and I don't foresee any issues. I've filled my backpack with pencils, erasers, sharpeners, sticks, rocks, etc. Kids like it because it can be used as a messenger bag with the strap.
There are some issues with the binder. At first I had a Case it Binder from Target, and I liked it, so I got this one (which is very similar) from Using baseball sheets, it was meant to store coupons. The replacement does the same thing, so I ordered another one. Now that this binder doesn't work well, it serves no purpose as it's no longer useful to me. There is something wrong with me.
