THE REVIEW HAS BEEN UPDATE As a result of the customer service I ended up receiving from the manufacturer, I am updating my review from 1 to 4 stars. While the item was outside Amazon's return window, the Tenergy representative offered to send me a replacement lamp free of charge after learning about the USB port issue. They determined that there must have been a defect in that particular lamp (since the USB port and the lamp itself were both I just received the new lamp a few days ago and have plugged it in and have discovered that the USB port works. The customer service reps were very responsive and easy to communicate with. I'm so happy! In light of the positive experience with their customer service and the fact that they stand behind their products, I would be willing to order from them again. It is not a good choice if you are buying it for the USB port! One of the main reasons why I chose this lamp over others was its USB port. I bought the lamp (new) as a Christmas gift for someone. Since receiving this gift, the recipient has been using this lamp for a few weeks now as a reading light next to their bed (and it has been working just fine), but until today they hadn't tried charging their phone via the USB port. In addition. There is no way to use this! The charging cords and devices were all tested on three different occasions. There is nothing. There is no charge during the initial charging and then there is no charge after that- Sadly, the "return window" for the lamp closed a few days ago, which means we are now stuck with a lamp with a useless USB port. I don't know if the lamp came with a factory defect, but I am certainly disappointed. My reading of reviews before purchase didn't alert me to any defective USB ports, so I didn't even consider the possibility that the lamp light may not work (but that the USB port would still work). Make sure you check the USB port right away if you decide to buy this lamp to be sure that it won't be a dud like mine was.

This lamp is the best One of my friends is thinking about getting another one. You can clearly see your work area with it! The number of brightness levels is 5 I'm a painter, so I can tone down the light to get less reflections or turn it up to the brightest if I need to work on a smaller scale. The head rotates and turns to any angle I like! The timer is one of the things I enjoy most! I love these night lights for my husband since he forgets to turn the lights on all the time, and when he uses them, he turns them on by the timers and they automatically turn off after an hour. I no longer have to worry about following him into the office!.
