During my movements around the chair, a rubber-backed throw rug rumpled up and made it difficult to move the chair. A slick surface would not keep me flat, and I needed something that would not slide. I was able to get the job done with this mat. It rolled out flat when it was taken out of the box. While I can move my chair easily, when I'm not actively moving it, it stays put. I also match my desk chair and my computer with it! It does move over a period of days, but that is the only con. A couple of times a week In 7 days I have shifted it back to its original A small amount of movement can be felt. In its widest point, the mat is 47 inches wide. My desk is 40 inches wide and my mat is 47 inches wide. There probably wouldn't be as much of a noticeable difference if the desk was wide enough to let the mat go all the way under. It was a great purchase and I have recommended it to several people.

It is a nice touch to have a mat on the hardwood floor. As you roll back, you do not feel them as you do when you are rolling forward. You can also keep the stay down. It gave me a sense of security to have at least one corner of the desk on it when I put them down. While the rubber backing of the mat keeps it in place, when I poke its edges, the mat comes loose. It did not take long for O'Shea's hardwood mat to start moving. My son's bedroom lies next door to the office, so he won't be woken up from my chair on the hardwood floor when I go to work. They keep it quiet too since his room is next door to the office. My son liked them so much he wants to buy one too for his room. I would definitely buy them again and my son looks forward to buying his own.

My gaming desk is red/black, so I picked this up to match. The material I have for it is carpeted, but I feel it might perform a little better on wood floors. In something I read it stated that it would work well on carpets, too. My desk is too high for me to scoot up to it, and it wrinkles very easily. It does not appear to be as colorful as it is in the photo, which I took in poor lighting, but the material feels nice and the colors are vibrant. In the past few months, I have learned to position my chair as I want it before sitting.

It has a good feel and is made of good materials. * It protects hardware from scratches, and the price was reasonable. Perhaps your child will use it as their play mat when they are in elementary school. When you have hardwood floors or title floors, you may want to consider buying it. Using the mat for the chair will make it move very smoothly.

I purchased it for a laminate floor and it has done a great job. A rubberized strip is thick, but not too thick, and made from a combination of rubber and plastic A nylon covering is attached to a material which looks like leather. There is a great deal of durability with this. It is not a question of whether or not I will buy another one in the future.

I ordered a second one and attached it to our other desk since it works so well on our hardwood floor. Leaving it in place is a good idea. The product did not roll up or smell weird for me at all. I like it a lot!.
