A box was nothing more than two thin cardboard pieces stapled together that made the item just as flexible as it would be if the package itself didn't exist. Two additional points One of the geniuses at USPS thought folding it was a brilliant idea. Surely you could have labeled that "box" with a "DON'T BEND" or a "FRAGILE" or you could have actually packaged it as a box now.
