Questions & Answers
I weigh 148 pounds and stand 5'4" tall. It hasn't flattened out in the time that I've had it. My physical therapist had suggested it to me.
This cushion has a nice level of softness to it. It has the ideal firmness and softness balance, in my opinion. The cushion's main foam portion is firm, but the gel overlay is soft enough to make it extremely comfortable.
My hamstring muscles in the back of my legs were greatly aided by it. I'm at ease here.
It's not too large, about the size of three fingers, I believe. I didn't take measurements, but I can barely feel the difference when I sit. It is extremely relaxing.

It is far too thick, dense, and short, causing thigh pain. AND . It's not returnable, as far as I can tell! br>br>REVISED Both Amazon and the manufacturer provided excellent customer service! Despite Amazon's initial claim that I would not be eligible for a refund, I received a refund. The manufacturer contacted me to inform me that it had been coded incorrectly and that it should have been returned. Despite this, they took my concerns seriously and claimed the cushion was defective, sending me a replacement free of charge that was noticeably softer! It is more comfortable, but depending on your height, the short length may still be an issue. It also appears to work best in a regular or adjustable-height chair. You'll be able to compensate for the thick cushion this way. Overall, it's a nice, comfortable cushion that does seem to help with coccyx pain when used properly.
I had been using a different type of cushion for about 6 months when it became worn out, so I decided to give this a try. It wasn't love at first sight, to put it mildly. At first, I thought the back cutout was strange, and I almost gave up on this cushion. I decided to give it a full day's worth of testing, and by the end of the day, I was much more at ease. The cushion is well-made overall, with nice fabric and a non-skid bottom. The size and shape are the source of my dissatisfaction. It's quite short, and it doesn't even come close to reaching the end of my office chair. The shaped area for your legs is another issue. It comes to an abrupt end, leaving an uncomfortable spot on the back of my legs. I believe it would be more comfortable if the edge was tapered or less defined. I'll keep using the cushion for a while to see if I can get used to it, or if it simply needs to be broken in. I received this cushion at a reduced price in exchange for testing and reviewing it; however, I stand by my review and do not give discounted products high ratings if they do not deserve it. When making purchases, I, like you, rely on honest reviews.
I don't usually write reviews, but this cushion had far too many flaws for me to ignore. It could be used as a car seat cushion, according to the seller. The cushion is about 3 inches thick and has a low compression rate. Even with my car seat lowered, the thickness made driving difficult, if not dangerous; the cushion was also quite firm, and my backside wasn't feeling the love after a long drive. After a few minutes of use, the front edge of the cushion pressed against the bottom of my legs in an uncomfortable way. I'm now left with a cushion that isn't being used and taking up space in my home.
When I'm sitting, the pain is the most severe. The doctor said the only thing I can do to speed up the healing process is to reduce the pressure on that area when I sit. br>br>I tried this product and can confidently say that it changed my life; after a month of suffering from pain in my tailbone area, I can finally sit, drive, and most importantly, allow it to heal by reducing pressure. br>I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my office chair. This product is highly recommended if you have tailbone or sacrum pain.
BUY THIS. This is the most comfortable cushion I've ever had. It aids in my recovery from back injuries and a coccyx fracture. I never break a sweat while doing this. My butt doesn't ever hang over the sides of this. The cushion, on the other hand, is a substantial size. It retains its firmness, however. It also quickly reverts to its original form. This sucker can handle almost anything if it can handle the weight of a 250-pound man like me. Unless you are extremely obese, this pad will assist you in remaining comfortable at all times. The bottom fabric creates a lot of friction, so the cushion never slips on smooth surfaces. If you work at a desk job for long periods of time or are unable to walk due to a medical condition, this is a good option.
As others have mentioned, this cushion is thick and not particularly soft, and it will not compress much if you are a small or light person. A "memory foam" cushion would have been much more comfortable for me. The cushion is better than nothing, but it doesn't really do what I bought it for because the office chair I'm using has a fairly hard seat. br> If I sit on it for more than a few hours at a time, my legs still go numb, and as other reviewers have noted, it significantly raises the height of the chair seat. It's possible that the cushion was designed for people who are heavier and whose weight compresses the cushion more. I've been using it for a few months and will probably continue to use it in the absence of a better option, but I would not buy it again.
It's completely pointless. br>I drive a 6 hour round trip once a week in a 2015 SUV, and on the way back, I started having unbearable sciatica pain. I only drove 10 miles for the rest of the week. This cushion performed admirably for two trips (over two weeks). When I returned from my second trip a week later, I was once again uncomfortable, so I slid it away and returned to my regular seat, which felt much better. It had essentially flattened out, as seen in the attached photos, and had never been revived. I should have returned it as soon as possible.
I'm very disappointed in this. At 17", it was far too narrow. Unless you are extremely thin or have a narrow build, this will almost certainly be a problem. Other reviews have cautioned about the difficulty of the game. Be aware that it will be firm, not soft, and unforgiving, so while that level of firmness may work if it perfectly conforms to your body shape, there will be no give if it does not.
