It has a thickness of about 2 inches. I bought one for my father, who isn't very mobile, to help relieve pressure on his spine, and he immediately felt better. My hip pain has improved since I purchased one for my desk chair.

I had to be very careful not to sit directly on my tailbone by sitting in the correct position. That is, until I got this cushion in the mail. On the fifth day, we all went on a wild horseback ride along the Outer Banks' beaches. Without it, I would not have been able to make it. It's extremely comfortable and cushioned, and it's an absolute must for anyone suffering from a coccyx injury. It comes highly recommended. An extra cover was included with mine. I'm not sure if that was intended. I guess I didn't think about it when I placed my order.
I've tried a couple of the $20 - $30 cushions that are shaped like this. 30 range. The gel, I discovered, does assist in keeping things cool. In terms of which orientation to use it in, I found that notch forward was the most comfortable.

This pillow provides me with sufficient height to drive comfortably, and the best part is that it does not slide around on the leather seat. I've had this car for three years, and this is the best driver's seat pillow I've found.
I was pleasantly surprised at how effective this product was in reducing, if not completely eliminating, the discomfort I'd been putting up with after sitting at my desk for a long time. I strongly advise you to do so.
The cushion is comfortable to sit on, but I have a problem with constantly sliding forward on it and having to move back on it; I'm not sure if this is due to the cushion or the chair.
This cushion has just raised my seat enough to provide me with a much better view of the massive hood! It's also incredibly cozy!.
