The size and weight of the laptop would have to be considered. A thick, heavy gaming laptop would not be a good fit. Most current thin laptops should be fine, including anything from Apple.

I purchased this stand because I adore the design and was willing to pay a premium for it. This build quality, however, is simply unacceptable for a product with an MSRP of $50. The paint is chipped, the rubber feet are rough around the edges, and the metal surface isn't even smooth. I asked for a replacement, but the product I received still had the same issues. The construction quality is very poor.
"Compatible with laptops 11" to 17", according to the product description, so I decided to get one for my 17" Razer Blade Pro. br>br>On this, my razer blade pro 17" barely works. The laptop appears to be precariously balanced on the stand, as if the slightest push or even opening the screen to a certain angle could cause it to lose balance and fall off the back of the stand; this would not have been an issue if the laptop's support bars had been slightly longer. br>br>In addition, the curve at the end of the bars (which keeps the laptop from sliding forward) appears to be too shallow. My laptop has a habit of riding up and over the lip. The rubber keeps it from completely falling off, but the whole thing doesn't feel secure.
I'm not sure what to say about this piece because it's just a single (plastic?) piece. ) that sits on my desk and holds my laptop at a much better angle than it would be if it were flat. The laptop is securely held in place by gravity, and removing it from the stand is simple - Disconnecting the cables I've attached takes a bit longer. I like how the design is both simple and effective. br>br>I work from a standing desk, with a laptop on the left, a monitor on the right, and an external keyboard trackpad on the lower level. This stand holds my open laptop at the same height and angle as the other monitor, which is supposed to reduce strain and eliminate the need to look "down" at the laptop screen all the time. It's useful because it elevates my laptop off the desk a little and allows me to use the space beneath it for storage if I need it. br>br>For what it's worth, if you keep your laptop closed and only use the external display, you don't really need this. Furthermore, using the keyboard and trackpad/touchpad on an open laptop while it is on this stand would be difficult, so you must have the proper setup for this to be useful.
This laptop stand was purchased because I liked the design and needed something that was both functional and attractive for my WFH setup. I like that it's made of one solid piece of metal, as opposed to most other stands, which are made up of several pieces. The first one I bought was alright, but the rubber strips on the bottom looked like they were glued on by a blindfolded child or a monkey with their feet. Because the rubber strips are slightly larger than the insert grooves, dried glue is bursting from the seams, and overhanging parts aren't even glued down. Rub marks and finger prints were visible on the matte black surface. Was it a re-purposed one that I received? Is it possible that I received one that had been returned? Anyway, I asked Amazon for a replacement, which arrived the next day. It's even worse than the one I started with. Come on! The same issues as before were present, but they were more obvious this time, and the rubber on the top had glue all over it. br>br>This is a fantastic design that sells for a premium, but the quality does not match the price. To save a few cents, the company appears to be cutting corners by allowing blind children in third-world countries to put these together with their feet. Do better.
Her COVID home office desk is now much more ergonomic and functional thanks to the addition of a secondary keyboard and mouse. When I can get it away from her, I use it as well, and it accommodates both my larger 16" MacBook Pro and her smaller MacBook Air. What you get in terms of sturdiness from the one-of-a-kind one-of-a-kind one-of-a- Adjustability is sacrificed due to the piece design. You're stuck at the height and angle of the set base, and you don't want to do much direct typing on the laptop keyboard once it's up there (it bounces). It is sturdy and will not slip or slide around on the desk, freeing up surface space and allowing the monitor to be raised higher, reducing neck strain.
Twelve South chose dense high-density high-density high-density high-density high-density high-density high-density high-density high-den steel of superior quality What does this imply for you personally? It means that when you type, your laptop will not bounce up and down. br>I know it's difficult to justify the cost, but believe me when I say that once you see and feel the quality of this stand, you'll understand where your money went.
The product was well packaged (inside the box, it was wrapped in a soft material) and in excellent condition when it arrived. Some reviews stated that it arrived chipped or damaged, but this was not the case with mine; it's a very sturdy metal stand with nice rubber pads to keep the laptop from slipping. I'm using it on a 2019 MacBook Pro, but I've also tested it on a 2011 MacBook Air. Both of these items are ideal for it. I like the black better than I expected, but I wish there was a grey option to match the Apple Space Gray. Overall, a good product, albeit a little pricey for what is essentially a well-shaped piece of metal. I wish it was adjustable so that I could better align it with my monitor for a better dual screen setup, but since it isn't, that isn't a reasonable expectation. There is an adjustable version, but it is more expensive and less attractive.
