Before I bought it, I was afraid that the feet would stick up and stab you in the wrists, as the picture depicts. This stand appealed to me because it was the most open of the stands I saw, and it folded up mice for travel and looked perfect; after asking a question about the feet on the questions, it appeared that this would not be an issue, so I gave it a try, and I'm glad I did! I believe the listing photo depicts the larger of the two feet, which makes it appear a little off when viewed. I use the smaller feet, which are perfectly in line with my new 15. Laptop is 6' in length. The feet don't bother me at all, and the stand is incredibly sturdy. It also raises the laptop to a good height, allowing for a better and more flattering zoom meeting camera angle. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would enthusiastically recommend it; no, I did not receive anything for free or at a reduced price. This item was purchased at full price.
The excitement I felt when I opened the package was incredible. The quality was excellent, and it was exactly as described by the seller. Because it is so light and portable, you can enjoy the entertainment or conduct business at any time and from any location.
Design is excellent. It's small and portable, making it ideal for on-the-go use. Does an excellent job of elevating the laptop to the proper height for proper ergonomics and to avoid strain. To avoid overheating, make sure there's plenty of airflow. Excellent product at a reasonable cost.
It raises my laptop to a comfortable working height, allowing me to sit and work more comfortably. It allows for better airflow at the bottom, which keeps my computer cooler.
I needed a laptop riser/stand to go with my current workstation. from- for a few reasons, I chose this one: It was compact enough to fit between my monitor and keyboard (with wrist rest) and raise the screen of my laptop (Pixelbook) to the same level as my second monitor. Its compact and lightweight design is due to its folding design. I can easily transport it from one location to another (within my home, of course!). Almost all contact points are covered in rubber, with the exception of the rear legs when set to "mid-range. " "height. " Where the laptop sits, there is some protection as well. The mechanism is smooth, if a little loose when fully extended, but not to the point of being annoying. Overall, it does the job without being flimsy, so I can't say I'm disappointed!.
Despite the fact that the information stated that it could only be used on a 15-inch laptop, I took a chance and used it on my Alienware 17r4. It's a fairly heavy laptop, but the weight distribution is fairly even, so it sits firmly on the desk.
The stand centers nicely leaving a 25%/50%/25% weight distribution over the stand and you couldn't plan the stand avoiding the air intakes any better than this Because of the laptop's slight V shape, it can pretty much self-center. Both of the rubber stoppers are raised. Overall, it's quite stable, particularly when set to "half height. " br>br>Item comes with a small sleeve, but tossing it in the backpack or laptop bag is no problem; my charging brick, on the other hand, is far more cumbersome. The best part is that both legs are attached to one another, so you'll never lose one. br>br>Away from the Point: At the moment, I'm using a K63 Corsair in a lapboard with either a Corsair Wireless mouse or a wired MX518 Legendary mouse. To this day, I find the mouse design to be the most comfortable. I can connect my laptop to a TV, projector, or other device and unwind while it sits on its stand. br>br>It also works well on my Asus TNT-100. 100.
Zoom meetings have become much more pleasant as a result of this - Neck pain is no longer an issue. Here are some of my thoughts on it based on my personal experience:
- I only use this and my laptop for video meetings when I need to retreat into a quiet space (I have a desktop as my primary computer), and typing on the laptop while on the stand is okay for short periods of time, but not the most stable experience. I recommend using a separate mouse and keyboard for all-day comfort. br>br>- I use it with a very thin Thinkpad X1 Carbon, and the shorter set of tabs that hold the laptop in place are flush with where your wrists sit when typing, so they don't poke you while you type.
- It's made of plastic and is lightweight, but it feels reasonably well built; I've opened and collapsed it a few dozen times and it shows no signs of wear. Unless it's subjected to regular abuse, it should last for a long time. If you plan to travel with it and throw it into a bag haphazardly on a regular basis, you may break it after a while. br>br>- I'm about 5'5" tall, and the camera is roughly level with my face when it's set to the taller of its two settings.
I'd recommend this product because I needed a laptop riser that wasn't too bulky and was also sturdy. My laptop is a Macbook Pro 13" 2020, which is quite light. I believe it is capable of handling larger and heavier laptops. This was ideal for my cramped office space. I didn't want to put a bulky, heavy stand in the middle of my desk - I also like that it's collapsible, which is great for travel.
