My time to put this together was a little more than two hours. I had no trouble with it, it's just that the directions and pictures are so small that it's difficult to see them, and I put it together backwards the first time, so I had to take it apart. But it's not bad for an 8-year-old. This stand is extremely sturdy, and I don't have a huge TV on it, but it's an older one that is heavier. I feel very confident with it. This would be a great TV stand if you are in the market for one, because it was a good price for the overall value it offered.
For the price, it goes way above and beyond. I did not use the wheels so it can go under my bed and chest and lay flat on the floor at the end of the bed.
