Questions & Answers

Is the machine capable of self-cleaning? Can I feed 30 pages and expect 30 folds if I feed them to the folding machine? or will I have to manually feed each page?

Each page must be manually fed. You're not going to get 30 good folds, either.

Does it start working as soon as the paper is inserted? Is it possible that mine is broken?

Check to see if the unit is receiving power. You put the paper in (no more than 5 pages) and give it three to five minutes. The paper will be folded in 5 seconds. If that doesn't work, you might be dealing with a faulty item.

Is there a way to fold legal-size paper with this?

Mine was thrown away because it was always jamming. I purchased a Martin Yale, which does an excellent job but will not fold legal-size paper.

I purchased a Sparco 18726 folding machine, but it will not fold properly. What's the best way to get this to feed and fold properly?

I was unable to make it work as well. You can't change the location of the folds. When more than one sheet was fed at a time, the folds were sloppy. Except as a doorstop, I no longer use it.

It's a slow process, and I wouldn't recommend feeding more than four sheets at a time, but it does the job
4/5

I bought this product because I was sick of getting paper cuts on a quarterly basis. Our club hosts tournaments throughout the year, and I am in charge of notifying members. I don't mind doing it, but I don't like folding letters and entry forms. So that's why I bought it. It's a slow process, and I wouldn't recommend feeding more than four sheets at a time; however, anyone interested in purchasing this product should first watch the video before using it. This will make the transition to using it as painless as possible. If your papers are just out of the printer or copier, I recommend putting them in the folder blank side up. There will be no paper jams with this method. Overall, it's a good value for the money.

It's not even close to being worth the money
3/5

I purchased this because I have thousands of brochures to fold and thought it would be useful to have in our office. When I got it, I learned that folding more than a few dozen pages per month is not recommended. It also claims to be able to fold five pages at once, but when you put that many in, they all fold in slightly different directions. There is no way to change the location of the fold for even a single page, and it does not create folds in the exact location you want them. The folds became increasingly out of place the more I used the machine. And that was after only about 20 sheets of paper had been folded. br>br>I regret purchasing this item because it was not worth it. Even as a paperweight, it is unattractive. I put a "Free" sign on it and set it out on the curb. Someone took it, then returned it later that day.

After a month of work, I was laid off
3/5

I used to use a Royal 300AF paper folder, but they're hard to come by these days, and they're almost exclusively available used. As a result, I was relying on Sparco. It folded about 800 single pages in a month and worked perfectly. Then a page became stuck on the inside and refused to eject, despite my best efforts to reverse the direction of the rollers. As a result, I had to unscrew the bottom panel in order to retrieve the crumbled page. The same thing happened when I inserted a new page for folding; it would not eject the reverse-folded page. I had to restart from the bottom panel using the rollers method. Two more times, the same thing happened. This baby will be laid to rest after four failed attempts to resurrect it. Fortunately for the seller, who shipped promptly, I won't have to go to the trouble of repacking and returning the item for a refund. The idea of using a paper folder is fantastic. when everything is in place.

More food was consumed than was folded

But it's a good idea. I tried everything I could think of to master the art of folding. br>I went through a ream of paper and came up with the following: br>1/3 of them foldedbr>1/3 of them got eatenbr>1/3 of them folded the top like a paper airplanebr>1/3 of them got eaten br>br>Tried 1 page at a time with and without the Feeder Guide, reading all User Feedback and even watching a few videos. br>br>I returned it for a prompt refund. br>br>In the end, we took our weekly folding papers to Office Depot, where we paid 2 cents per sheet almost instantly. (200)br>br>It was delivered on time. Company isn't a problem at all. br>br>Add another $100 to your account and you'll get.

There are a lot of misfolds in this picture
3/5

It misfolded approximately 20 of sheets fed through it severely misfolded of sheets fed through it severely misfolded of sheet Misfolds occurred even when only one sheet was placed squarely in the top feeder slot. This would be especially bad if you were folding personalized letters from a mail merge. br>br>On the side of the machine, there is a hole into which an included wheel should be inserted to help clear jams. The shaft inside the hole, on the other hand, is misaligned, making it impossible to insert the wheel. This, I believe, is a sign that the internal mechanism is simply poorly made and does not align properly, causing the paper to fold incorrectly. br>br>In addition, the machine is quite noisy. br>br>Even though the return was processed quickly, sending the machine back cost me $20 in postage, so it was not worth the risk of purchasing it. br>br>I was considering this machine because it was so cheap, and I thought to myself, "How bad could it be?" " It is truly appalling.

Work that hasn't been completed should be re-done
3/5

called. I should have heeded the warnings of the critics - However, I reasoned that because my volume is low (less than 200 invoices), and I was willing to feed it one sheet at a time by hand, it would save me time. However, it has so many flaws that it is practically useless. I had to re-feed it because the thing mangled about 50% of the sheets of paper I fed it and I had to re-feed it because the thing mangled about 50% of the sheets of paper I fed it% They should be printed. I ended up doing the entire project by hand, and now I'm stuck with the hassle of returning it. This is a product that I can't believe was ever tested by the manufacturer before being released into the market!.

The value for money is excellent
3/5

This was purchased for a work project in which I was required to fold and mail 1200 letters. It was much better than folding them by hand, even if it did need to be reset every now and then because it ate a letter or two. The key that comes with it to help you get rid of stuck papers didn't fit well, so I had to file the opening to make it larger so that the key could fit. After that, I continued to use it for a while until it finally broke. All of the other options, on the other hand, were significantly more expensive, and this one did the job.
