Questions & Answers
A typical school wall is painted cinder block and Mavalus tape works well on it. Whether it works on concrete walls depends on whether the wall surface is clean, dry, and the wall does not sweat easily.
I roll it up for hanging posters, and it is single-sided tape You can use it to hang posters on surfaces that are hard to hang.
In both cases, the width differs only. There are two widths of Mavalus tape 3/4" and 1". A 1" wide roll of Dorm Tape is the only size available.
Painters tape is not as thick as this tape and doesn't hold things on walls as well. The product is easy to remove and leaves no residue behind.

There is nothing more powerful as a teacher than this tape! Anything I put on my classroom wall leaves zero residue at the end of the year when I take it down (or during a test period). Also, my teenage daughter likes to use it to hang posters and pictures on the wall without leaving holes or adhesive on the wall.
A little bit of the material around the edges of some of my drawers peeled away when some of my white cabinets were installed. The kitchen is otherwise in good shape, so we did not want to resurface it or replace it. As soon as I applied this tape to the edges of the drawers, it blended right in and stayed in place. There is no way to tell. Tapes like this are great.
Based on the photo on Amazon, I expected a much larger product than it actually was (both in volume and dimensions). As it turns out, the width is 5/8", not 3/4", which, in the grand scheme of things, isn't that big of a deal, but I wasn't expecting that. To provide a better understanding of the scale and size, I have included a photo.
It's always hard to find something for holding wall hangings at school events, and I'm not a fan of the blue gummy stuff I have to knead to warm it up before I use it. In order to get things started quickly, we want things done soon after an event. I have never experienced anything like this!.
Throughout my teaching career, I have used this tape for hanging things on my classroom blocks walls. It has been the BEST tape I have used. The price is well worth it!.
The tape is perfect for use on bricks, drywall, and other hard surfaces in my classroom, but why is it so expensive? The price is too high for me to keep getting it, so I will still complain.
I've been trying to tape posters to my classroom walls for the last year and a half, but I have never been able to do so. It may be possible to get posters to stay on the wall for a week or two. The posters on my wall have been up every day for more than two months since I used mavalus tape.
