I wanted to mention this in case anyone was interested Clearly, it may not matter every time, but the dispenser is a little unwieldy when you have these size rolls. The dispenser for the two packs with rolls is fairly large, not the small diameter-size rolls/dispensers that fit neatly in your palm. There is some reason why the strip of tape doesn't stay upright by the serrated teeth (which is where it should be). It continually flops down and gets stuck to itself or the dispenser sides. As opposed to their large, palm-sized counterparts A wide range of dispensers is available in a fluid state and is easy to handle.
This has been my go-to packing material whenever I move. It didn't keep the tape attached to the boxes very well. Because of my usual usage of their brand for sending out small packages & letters, was a bit disappointed It was good at first, but this packing tape wasn't as good as the first.
However, the dispenser is a joke to use, it's overly complicated and not very well thought out for something so little and simple as taping or cutting a letter. In addition to its flimsy and thin plastic body, the tape pegs are too small and located far back for the tape to stay where you need it, and replacing rolls is almost as difficult as setting up a clockwork mechanism as it is. Finally, there are the tapes themselves. Do you remember how easy it was to find the roll's start in the past? Despite its best efforts, the flap did not The flap was just not good enough for these people because they decided to put in an inch or more so you have to dig around in order to find the actual beginning, but even then you have no idea how to begin. Putting the start on the other end of the tape roll rather than on the end of the roll is just stupid. This company and this tape is not recommended in any way as there are better tapes that do not waste your time attempting to find the start of a new roll as well as dispensers built with some thought, creativity, common sense, and pride as opposed to these which lack all of those qualities.
There was something that I found that was different about this packaging tape than other tape that I've used in the past. The tape I've used in the past was very sticky and would hold on to anything it even touched a little, which I found to be very handy for packaging. The only trouble with this one is that it has to be pressed down on for it to stick otherwise, it does not grip well. It is not a major problem, since it does stick once pressed down on. The main issue I had was with the dispenser that came with it. Despite the cheap plastic of the dispenser, which bends quite easily, the teeth on the dispenser where the tape is cut are also cheap and don't cut anything unless you yank them all the way. I found myself using my knife more often than the dispenser when I was packaging because it was just faster and easier to cut the tape. It's not terribly exciting for the price, so I suppose we shouldn't expect much, but if what we end up with is this, they should just leave the dispenser out.
It's not five stars because the edges don't always hold very well unless you tape them over to seal them (which shouldn't be needed). Sometimes the end edges come loose randomly which means I have to tape it down across the length or do a full wrap around without an end piece to ensure it stays in place. As a result, you can feel it have a good hold when it is.
I'm amazed at the strength of this The paper is really thick, so it In the past, I have bought the cheap 6 pack under a different brand, but now I want There is definitely a difference in quality and thickness between name brand tape and generic tape. A modest amount of stickiness, but struggles with softer powdery boxes, such as those recycled by Amazon or those provided by USPS priority free mail. The glue does not take, but I use a small amount extra to be on the safe side. The plastic shipping bag sticks to it like a pro.
Although each cut requires slight adjusting of the tape, it still requires some fine tuning. If it won't stay in place when you put it on the next seam you're taping, then you have to adjust it with your fingertips a tiny bit so it is ready to 'catch' when you put it onto the next seam you're taping. It would be better if it was easier to use, but until someone comes up with a totally new idea, it's about as good as this type of tape system gets at the moment.
This tape is so wimpy that when it is put on a cardboard box the tape actually loses its grip on the cardboard and bends away from the box before you have even touched, blown on, or pulled the tape. The adhesive does not adhere well to cardboard. It has a small amount of adhesion to cardboard when compared to other packaging tapes I've used to adhere cardboard to other items. I was tempted to ask for a refund, but decided it would not be worth the hassle. I will just suffer through it until I have used it all, then I'll use it on something else It must be used for critical purposes, and I must use twice as much as before.
