You asked a great question! I appreciate you taking the time to write me. Rolls that come with the Easy Stick rollers have a permanent adhesive. The adhesive should be strong enough to hold paper over bent cardboard if very little tension exists on the paper. In spite of this, the paper might tear if it is removed.
Wood is not something I have tried before, however I think it would depend a lot on its finish. For me, it would be ideal if it were a simple piece of artwork that would be hung on a I think I would go for something stronger if the device has to be handled quite a bit. The red casing would be absent from refills, as I understand it. All of these are done!
I would not recommend using it for party decorations since it is a permanent adhesive.

It is almost a daily necessity for me to use this type of tape. As soon as I saw it in the crafts section of the local Superstore, I bought it. It was a great brand, I never had any problems with it. Worked just as hard as they could. Earlier this week I noticed that "Duck Brand," which has their own version of this permanent double sided dispenser on the market, was offering a bargain for it. Given the price and the fact that Duck Brand is a well-known brand, I was inclined to give it a shot. This was the worst decision I have ever made! The tape doesn't work at all on smooth surfaces, and if you press too hard, it spits out a big mess on the front! That was a waste of money and time. I have to pick up some from the store since I need them now. Duck, you've done nothing for me! Don't stray from what you're familiar with.
There is a difference in feel between Creatives Memories tape rolls and this one. I have found it to meet my needs most of the time. design of the dispenser on Model 280307 has altered, since it now includes a hinged cap and not a removable cap that I usually misplace. It was a complete nightmare using these adhesive rollers! of all, when you take off the cover, the tape comes out of the roll and there is no way to get it back inside, even if you put back the cover. Two, there is not much tape on the roll. I was trying to apply scrapbook paper to a book cover on one side only, about 6 x 8 inches, and the tape ran out just wrapping the edges around the one side around the edges. So I had to use two rolls of tape to get the job done! I then got out a third roll, but the tape was blown out of the roller about 7 inches worth, and I could not reroll that onto the spool, so I trashed it. As part of the embellishing, I used most of the fourth tape runner to add just a few decorations to the cover. It took almost four tape runners just to do the book. You should not purchase this.
Suddenly, the case does pop open and all of the tape falls off.
